Hi
I am coughing away to beat the band. I think Ill go see the doc.
Tomorrow If I am feeling better I am going to the beach for beach clean up day with Lily and her mom in the morning.
My friend from South Haven Michigan called me and she is on the other coast visiting her son and looking for a job. So on the May 1st she is going to drive up to Michigan with me.
It looks liike rain here today. I hope so cause it is humid.
Nothing else new here.

Good morning to you, Margo and all my fellow OFFer's.
Nothing much going on here. I have to get my bee hind up from this chair and get moving to the hospital. Shawn called and nothing much is going on there. Bill wants to go before he goes to work and so that is the least that I can do. DS is keeping me posted and then later on when the time comes closer I will call Bill and to the hospital he will fly.......but he better just drive the speed limit. The last time I looked his car didn't have wings.
Got to the library yesterday and I did something that I don't think I ever did. I got the book that they had on hold for me and that was it. I was so hungry that I had to get out of there before I passed out and get something to eat. I hate it when the blood sugar goes down and plays havoc with my body. I will never get use to that happening. It did while I was on insulin at times but I really think that I am leaning toward low blood sugar now.......leave it to me to swing from one thing to another. But I would think that might be a normal thing. My highest A1C was 11 and now it is 4.9, so I am sure that my endocrinologist would be very pleased. I have sure come a long way with this surgery and I am ever so grateful. We can never lose the attitude of gratitude. Otherwise we might lose some things.
I am so in love with the weather that we are having. It is suppose to get to 70 today and tomorrow 72 and that is great. The birds are just chatting and singing to each other and I love the sound of that too. I love spring with all the newness and how you can just see the work of God everywhere you look.
I better get moving. Bill is getting anxious and wants to get going to the hospital. I will keep everyone posted on the arrival of the "King" of the household around here. Grandpa better get use to sharing the throne with Kayden......but something tells me he isn't going to mind one bit. ha ha It has been so funny watching and listening to him the closer the time has come. It is like all of sudden something hit in the head and he opened his eyes to the new knowledge that he is a grandpa now.
I am sending love and hugs to you all along with prayers for a great day and an even better week end. Keep smiling......I know that I am going to have no problem with doing that.........

Good morning Margo and everyone.....
Today is work, work, work....I missed a lot of hours this week so today is makeup day...ugh!!
Tomorrow is the "Wild Game Feed" at our favorite bar. They have it every year and it is a blast! Friends bring in all kinds of wild game...from pheasant to bear and more. It is prepared many ways. They have the best stuffed mushrooms (venison)!! They prepare many kinds of fish as well. Best yet it is all free!!! Live music and everything too! I can't eat much but I will enjoy spending time with all my friends. They end up with hundreds of people there inside and outside. It starts at 11:00AM until close!!
Have a wonderful day everyone!! Prayers to those in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Good morning Ladies and Gents,
There couldn't be a better spring day here in MI. Gorgeous blue sky and WARM...finally! Today is my oldest son's birthday--34 years old! I can't believe he's that old. It's impossible. I remember leaving for the hospital with snow on the ground and 14 days later when we came home the tulips were blooming!
Yesterday evening I did a 5-mile training walk for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Bad mistake in choosing to wear a newer pair of shoes. Horrible, horrible blisters! Apparently I can go to a New Balance store and get fitted for a pair of shoes. Tomorrow is a 7-mile training walk and on Sunday, a 6-mile walk. I hope the toes don't fall off by then.
On Sunday I'm going to my DS's house for dinner. I can't wait to see my grand-babies again. It's been several weeks. I can't get over how grandchildren grow faster than kids do.
Praying for Brenda's DIL, and for the new little "King" to arrive safely.

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
on to your destination.

on to your destination.

Good Morning All, its still morning here but going fast. Ohhh the luxury of sleeping late. I could not believe it when I got up at 9:45 a.m. I haven't done that in ages and it felt wonderful. Now I'm looking around at all that has to be done and thinking why didn't I get up. I've been following Brenda, like everyone else, and am anxious for baby Kayden to be born. I don't think there's anything sweeter in this world than a little baby. They fit so perfectly in your arms, and they smell delightful. (well, most of the time, lol) Our weekend is pretty predictable, getting ready for Sunday. Most people have no idea how much goes into preparation for worship. The man hours are immense between the music director, the pastor, the IT team, the cleaning people, the altar guild, and this Sunday the children in the Easter program. But, I would not have it any other way. Tomorrow I'm having breakfast tomorrow with another OHer. What a special treat that is. We met on line, are going to the same surgeon's office and live fairly close to one another. She's having surgery the 29th, so we are focused on the things we need to do to get her prepared. She is, as you are, a blessing in my life. Have a great weekend everyone, know that I pray every morning for my OFF friends and for those having surgeries. Blessings to all.....
Walking with you on this journey, Mary
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Yup, It's Friday again!! Still not working, did not get the job I wanted. I did get the approval to be rehired, so just have to wait till the right position comes available. That just means checking in more often. Did some running around with roommate sorta boyfriend (at least he thinks he is) paying bills that kind of thing. Tomorrow is his birthday so cooking him a pot roast, carrots, & mash potatoes.( His favorite) That is the
least I can do since he is currently supporting me. Other than that not much else happening in My world. Still pretty boring life.

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Long day at the community yard sale ... but it was fun meeting my Gleneagle neighbors ... some have condos on the golf course like me, others have single-family homes in the surrounding association. Lots of people left early ... even earlier than me, I left a little after 3 p.m. Not a lot of traffic today. Well, they didn't put up many signs, and the ones they did put up were poorly made (light colored ink); they didn't advertise in our paper, just the little weekly (which is owned by the same company but has a smaller circulation). The organizer could have spent a little more money on ads and gotten more traffic in the building, and we could have all made more money (including her). Some people -- like the group selling women's clothing -- were making a lot, though.
Oh well, I made a total of about $40, so it wasn't a complete waste ... I would have made nothing sitting at home. I just got bored after a while and tired, so I packed up and came home. And my knee hurt. So I need to get some food in me and ice my knee.
No big plans for the weekend, although it's gorgeous outside ... 67 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky ... supposed to rain starting Saturday night, though. Just vegging for the rest of my vacation, watching baseball, reading, etc. Maybe I'll go to a movie.
Have a good one.

Well, good late afternoon!!
It's been a DAY....
Started at $4 this morning.... then to the doctor for labs and visit.... got a bone density... and he's just not happy that I'm not taking everything he is prescribing... like calcium and Estiva... and fish oil... and... and... and...
So, I'm going to try to do better. I do take the extra added Bariatric Advantage vits everyday. He's ordered a Boniva drip that you get once a year... said he figured that was the only way he'd get it into me... and he's probably right. He's running good tests this time.
Made a couple of calls to see if I could get some good quotes on re-fi'ing my duplex... got a 4.75% quote with $3,000 in closing costs so not sure it will pay me. It will lower my payments about $200.. so may go ahead. It's only money...
Went to the mailbox to discover that I didn't get my paycheck for the 15th... I know, I know.. I would have known it on the 15th if I had gone to the mailbox!! They are sending me another one next week.. thank goodness I have savings.
Insurance company called and my roof will now be covered and paid for... yippee skippee...
Got Louise and my FunPass for the cruise printed out so all that's left is getting on the plane and getting to Houston. Yippee Skippee again!!
Heard from Linda Barnett. They have arrived in Ecuador.
Not a lot else planned for the weekend. It's gotten cold and rainy... tomorrow is supposed to be 60% chance of rain and 76 degrees... no shopping for me in the rain...
Guess it's a good time to clean house.
Everyone have a good weekend... hugs to those that need'em.
Janet
