Good Morning.  I just finished the last of the laundry and am all packed up.  Early tomorrow evening DH and I  will fly to Quito, Equador.  Then Saturday we fly to Galapagos.  I can't wait.   I have always wanted to see the unique animals that live there.  Hope I don't melt.  The Islands lie on the equator and it should be around 86-88 degrees.  I think I'll spend as much time in the ocean as possible.

Well chat among yourselves and have a great day.

Hope you have a great time and take lots of pictures.  I would love to see them if we can.

Today was a great day in RANGERS LAND.  What a game!  The Rangers won 19-6.  Ian Kinsler went 6 for 6, including the cycle, with an extra single and double thrown in.  He scored 5 runs, knocked in 3 and stole a base.  WOW!  Nelson Cruz had a grand slam and also a double with the bases loaded.  But baseball fans know this team can hit.  They need pitching desparately.

Looking forward to a great weekend, will go into detail about the plans tomorrow.  Needless to say they involve baseball Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

See? We knew your presence would bring the team luck!  What a game! We used to go see the Padres quite a bit when we lived in San Diego. I've never seen anyone go for the cycle, and only a few grand slams. This was a fan's dream come true!

No Shots.  Just recommended that tetnus be up to date.  I guess that a good idea anywhere you go even in the states.  Hopefully I won't step on anything sharp and yucky.  I wear water shoes even in the ocean unless I am snorkeling.  I usually wear dive boots but my new fins fit well without them so I am not bringing them.  I will take lots of pictures even though I not such a good photographer.

Linda - what an adventure. Take pictures to share.

My PCP prescribed Actonel, once a week, to help with the bone loss. The first med we tried gave intense joint pain. With the Actonal I was still having pain but not as unbearable. About a month ago I decided to stop the Actonel to see what would happen. ALL the pain is gone. Time to see my PCP and figure out what we do next. I don't want to live in pain but also want the bone loss to STOP. (20% loss in my hips and I have always taken my calcium and Vitamin D)

I have a bone density test scheduled for today. Haven't studied (lol) so I might reschedule it for next week. It's really just an x-ray, right?

I had on a few years ago before WLS.  Maybe I should have another since my vitamin D is so out of whack.  As best I remember it is more like a MRI as it scans your entire body.  Can't remember if you move through it or it moves over you.  There is nothing for you to do but lie there.  Your shouldn't need to "bone up" to take this test.  You don't even need a good breakfast.
