Thanks, Connie,    With my Mom it's not actually that bad.  She is very easy to help & so sweet.   It is time consuming & sometimes frustrating, but mostly I just feel blessed to have her in my life.    I'm going to enjoy every minute while I can.      I know you've had many difficulties in your life this last year, and I can't even imagine what it must be like.   I do hold good thoughts for you and those you are close to.     Take care of yourself while you're helping everyone else & I'll be seeing you around.

Hi Jan - thanks for much for sharing the website for fellow crocheters and knitters.  I requested an invitation this morning.  I LOVE the beige vest in the pineapple pattern you have on in the one picture.  Would you share the pattern or tell me where I can get it? 

I lost my dear Mother a few years ago.  It was before I had my surgery and it was a very stressful and sad time.  Be sure to take care of yourself --  your Mom would want you to.  Enjoy the time you have with your Mom even if it is just sitting and holding her hand.

You will be in my thoughts and my prayers.

It was so good to hear what you have been up to . And such fun having the pictures to go with your updates. It is a chore but also a blessing to have these special times with our moms, my mom and I had the nicest afternon yesterday, just getting our hair done, having coffee doing some shopping( she stayed in the car at Target because the walking is too much for her) As I drove home I teared up because I know I won't have her for much longer, mobility has become so hard for her, as her only daughter and my brother isn't capable to help I have to make the decisions.
Your crochet work is awesome, Ilike it all but especially the little rose jacket. What tallent you have. I have no advice about the creeping pounds, just hugging support as I am doing the same thing. Dont forget us, check in when you can, Blessings

Thanks, Jean ... I know what you mean about these precious moments with Mom & knowing we won't have them forever.   Mom asked me yesterday if I knew that she cried for two weeks straight when I got married (I eloped at age 18).  Of course I knew how much I hurt her (back then, I didn't care as much or didn't have the maturity to figure out a better plan), but this was the first time we've ever spoken honestly about it.   Guess it took 45 years to be able to talk about something like this where I hurt her so much.   WOW, what a moment.  But we survived & are closer than ever.   p.s.  My marriage also survived, what a suprise to so many people!  Blessings to You!
