For a real accurate evaluation, I will need some pictures... Linda is going to be sending me some bra and pantie pics, so go ahead and get together with her and send them all at once

Honestly, depending on muscle structure and tone etc it is going to happen.... exercise will help...  but the skin has been stretched, and unfortunately does not "un-stretch"

Sandy!!!

I think you're doing very well for being just one month out!  I don't know what to do either about the prune belly, Shar Pei dog thighs or the bat wings.  I keep hoping it will get at least a little bit better with more weight loss.  Ha!  I'm sure in a few months my thighs are going to be down around my ankles.  Someone told me exercise.  I've tried weight training, but still . . ..

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
on to your destination.

Good morning,

I had the same thing going on and after losing 100+ pounds the only answer for me was plastics. I love the results and for me the pain and price was well worth every bit. I hated my 90-year old looking body after losing the weight and would have rather been chubby than having all of the excessive skin hanging around. Please let me know if you're interested in hearing more about my journey to complete my transformation. You may also want to look at the plastic surgery forum. I found out lots of information there while I was considering surgery.

Life is too short to not embrace your journey and be happy with your results!

what kind of plastics did you have Kathie?
and just how much pain....lol
I found the laproscopic bariatric surgery was pretty hard on me.

I've had the following procedures and I'll list my pain level on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest):

10/2007 - RNY - pain 4
3/2008 - Total Hip replacement - pain 2
10/2008 - Lower body lift (multiple procedures)
   Brachioplasty (arms) - pain 2
Breast lift with augmentation - pain 1
Neck and lower face lift - pain 8
3/2009 - Circumferential lower body lift - pain 3

As you can see, the only really painful procedure for me was the face lift. My ears hurt so badly and felt like they were in a vice grip. All other procedures were really not painful, but I didn't have any complications. Everyone is different and I've read on the plastic forum some people rating arm surgery as 8. It all depends on the individual. Also I had a GREAT surgeon (Dr. Timothy Katzen) and his expertise is post bariatric surgery. I'd do it again in a second and the pain and price (about $28K for all procedures) was well worth it.

thank you so much for listing those pain levels.  This gives me an idea of what I would be in store for.

My pain level with the bariatric was at a 7 for the first week and a half.....then it tapered down with each day.  Everyone is different like you said.....

Thanks again Kathie!!
