Good morning, ya'll.

It's gonna be a busy weekend here.  Our grandson is having a huge 18th birthday party this afternoon.  The first real bar-b-q of the season.  Probably be about 50 there.  I finished my food contributions yesterday.  Our DIL just came down to get the rest of the food she had stored in my fridge (the chickens, hamburger, hotdogs and a bunch of other stuff).  She has 2 fridges and a freezer but when there is a BIG party goin on, she annexes part of ours.  We also have 2 fridges and a freezer.  I LOVE a big bar-b-q.  And it looks like the weather is gonna cooperate.

Tomorrow afternoon, Easter dinner will be here.  Ham and all that.  I am also having the boys follow trails of bunny poo (cocoa puffs), all over the yard to find their Easter baskets.  They are 16 and 18.  Their baskets have stuff like car cleaner and iPod ear buds along with the candy.

I hope has a wonderful Easter.

Have a fantabulous day!

I am absolutely lovin' today - such a bright, sunny, blue sky day!  A tad cold right now, but it will warm up this afternoon.

Am doing a 6-mile walk today, can't stay in the house any longer.  I'm also going to push warmer spring weather into getting here by putting the patio set on the deck.  I am SO ready to turn off the furnace.

Love the bunny poo idea!  What a hoot!

Enjoy this day everyone!

Good morning, Susan and my OFF sibs. I am glad to see your smiling face start us this morning.

I have to hem my pants for my Easter outfit today. I have put it off to the last minute and there is no more time to put it off anymore. I have to end up cutting them off and I hate that with a passion. I always wanted to be tall with long legs and instead at 54 I am short with no legs....just short little sticks! Sometimes life isn't fair! If I don't cut them off though the hem will be up around the waistband and my Home Ec teachers will spin in their graves! No more than a 2" hem girls!!!!!!!!

We have a few errands to run today and then we are done. I think that we both just want to spend time home and prepare for the busy week ahead. I just can't believe that this coming week Kayden will be here and I can finally hold my much loved and much anticipated grandson!

The sun is out and shining brightly. I feel so much better when the sun is out. It gives me hope that spring and summer is on it's way here. The temperature is still chilly....just 40* but at least the sun is out!

Susan, I hope that your rummage sale goes well. I just can't wait until the rummage sales start here. I am just itching to get going! I am watching for signs now but so far nothing and nothing in the papers either. It is just to early right now.

I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to everyone and prayers are being said for everyone too. Have a wonderful Saturday and keep on smiling!

Wow, it sounds like everyone is hopping this morning - lol - it's rainy and dreary here in PA.  I worked, took a little rest, and back to work again.  Getting ready to sign off and make a pot of chicken noodle soup.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

HI All,
I'm finishing up filling plastic eggs for a surprise Easter Egg Hunt for my daughter and her roomates. They are in their early 20s and have no idea that I'm doing this. Most of the eggs have their names on them... you look for your own eggs. But a few are prize eggs. Those will have money and one will have a coupon for $20 off rent for May. The eggs have mostly healthy items- bags of nuts, Crystal Light, dried fruit, a little candy. The other eggs have bubbles, water balloons, nail polish, wind-up toys, cartoon band-aids... you get the drift. My daughter will be surprised but she's used to my craziness- the roomates will be more surprised. My daughter and I are going to a concert tonight (Flamenco guitar I think) and after I drop her off I will park and sneak into her yard to hide the eggs. Oh BOY!
I just read that they have arrested the pastor's daughter in connection with the little girl's murder. The suitcase that Sandra was in belonged to her... I also heard that child *****graphy was found on the family computers and that Sandra had been sexually molested.  Also, the daughter was on probation for embezzlement and other very serious crimes. Somehow I think the pastor dad was involved too. It's the saddest  thing for the community and especially the family. I think that Spring Vacation came at just the right time for our students.
I need to finish my egg project... and work on the taxes- geez- they are due in just a few days!
Happy Easter!

Hi All-
My new laptop is causing me some major problems...the built-in mouse has a mind of its own. After several days of trying, it seems I can get in to the forum. This mouse jumps around after I point it to a specific place and it takes an unbelievable number of pushes, slides and yelling at it for the cursor to move at all! People I've asked told me it's because I have Vista in this thing...personally I think I got a 'lemon.' Whatever. We're hip deep in dry wall dust as the pros in the basement hammer away. I am soooo glad I'm not doing the dry wall this time. We've remodeled 3 basements in past homes. I kinda enjoy the pasting tape but my DH thinks I do an awful job at it. Ha! I will get to paint this next week. Yep, I'm sloppy with that too...but he's doing the ceiling and windows. With a newly finished basement in the works, it won't matter if I spill the paint on the cement floor. The carpet will get laid last. Anyway, I've given up stressing over the basement not being completed as soon as hoped. Let the Lord deal with it, I certainly can't change anything by fussing over it. Right? Tomorrow is church then brunch with our younger son's in-laws. Last night we babysat our 4 1/2 year old granddaughter and 3 month old grandson...such fun. I surely will miss them when we move to Arizona. I've told my two sons that they're getting cameras for their computers this spring...cause this grandma wants to see those little ones. Has anyone got experience with Skyte or Skype? Of course I'll need a camera on my computer as well. It's beautiful weather today, here in Golden. May you all have a blessed day tomorrow.

 Cheers, Rusty

hi rusty! so good to see you

i talked with a gal today on skype--she has it so i can only speak from my end of the experience--it seemed that i had difficulty understanding some of what she said-as if she were talking TOO close to the phone>>>i did not know til end of conversation that we were not on a real phone! so that explains the difficulties i think--she is in panama  so it wa sthe best way!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
