It's almost Monday! What's New?
Good morning Karen and everyone...
I hope you all had a good Easter. Mine was busy but lots of fun!! I ate one peep and was sorry I did...that was the extent of my eating Easter candy.
Time to get back to work this morning...ugh....another week. Guess I shouldn't complain at least I have a job!
I will check in again later to see who else posts. Have a good day everyone!!
Prayers to those in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Good afternoon everyone.
We had a nice weekend. we went up north for a family get together. Each holiday is bittersweet for us as we always wonder if its gonna be the last one with my folks. They are in their mid 90s.
My sister is here today and we are spring cleaning! House is smelling so good! And I can see through my windows. Carol is doing the wood cleaning I cant because of allergies.
I have done the getting lost in genealogy thing and done all nighters not realizing how late it was till the sun come up!
have a good day everyone.

Aloha Karen and OFF family,
Karen........yeah on your trip to Maui!! This is the best place to come for healing and just plain unwinding and slowing way down, as you know. I think it was a good idea to NOT get a car, and to just enjoy all the goodies available at the resorts in Kaanapali. I haven't been down there for a long time, except to drive through on my way to see friends staying in Kapalua or Napili. Get a head start on your tan so you won't burn......the Vit. D is good for you, too!!
I am so better today and feeling thankful to be alive and well. I have three loads of laundry going so cleaning up my act in more ways than one!!
My neighbors are leaving on Saturday for a cruise around the islands....they are surprising some friends of theirs from Las Vegas who are boarding the cruise ship in Oahu and were planning on meeting up with them when they docked in Lahaina. Well, my friends are going to surprise them in Oahu and go along for the week's cruise around all the islands. I will be watching their kitty while they are gone. Should be fun.
I have never really gotten into family history research mainly because I get lost when I try to get past my dad who landed on Ellis Island from Sweden when he was 21. Someday it may get more in depth and easier to find long long Swedish relatives. Glad you are enjoying it so much.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday. Oh, MARGO YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!
Aloha nui loa,

Hi Karen and my OFF family:
Well, I'm back from Chicagoland. It rained really hard all morning from Chicago into Indiana and then it stopped when I got into Michigan, but it's cold and windy here (well, it says it's 48 but it sure feels colder).
I had a nice visit with my family. My niece had a nice party on Saturday for her boys, Sam, now 5 (on Sunday) and Ben, who'll turn 9 on April 29. We had a lot of fun with them. It was just our family, so no turmoil over my brother Ed's ex (Andrea's mother) showing up ... she and Ed barely speak. At least they are civil now. Saturday was a lot of driving ... 4 hours into Chicago, pick up mom, another hour to Crystal Lake, another hour back to Franklin Park ... my knee really hurt. Sunday, we were on the road to Northbrook, but that was only a half hour, to my brother Ed's for Easter dinner and to see his newly renovated home (his wife's childhood home ... they moved in with her mother and made a mother-in-law apartment). Very nice. Dinner was great. Then today, back home, had breakfast with Paulette, was sorry to miss seeing Brenda, but I understand.
My kitties were all over me for awhile and now are sleeping on my suitcase on the bed.
Well, I want to get out of this computer room and under a blanket, I'm so cold. I thought my cold had abated, but I guessed not.
Have a good night! And I'm off for the rest of the week!
