Hello All- Its Olivia, Linda's daughter.

She is on a little weekend rendezvous and asked me to post that its cool for someone to take over the column for the next 2 consecutive editions.

(And yes, Its Romeo related. She asked me to say that as well.)

Take care all, keep the ball rollin' and don't drop it. (That's pure me!)

Ok Good night, I'm getting a cold. :)

I never start this thread, and hardly post to it, but I'll get you guys started for today. What the heck...stir stuff up a bit, huh?

Over the last few weeks I've put on a couple of pounds even sticking right to the plan my Nut gave me for maintining. It's 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fat. I didn't mind, loving carbs the way I do, although I did still do my 80 grams (at least of protein). I've gotten back onto my protein drinks, upping my protein to 90-100 grams a day, dropped the carbs closer to 125 (from the recommended 175) and have lost a couple of pounds.

WHEW!!  Close call adverted!!

So.............what cha eatin' today?

Susan

Susan,

I think you have proven that one recommended food plan does not work for all. We each need to figure out what works best for our own body - and unfortunately, that plan may change with time.

My meals will be the same, basic foods as every other day.

B- cottage cheese, berries, Kashi Go Lean
L - salad with deli ham
S- meat (most often chicken), green beans
S - apple & peanut butter

Once in a while I have SF pudding or some popcorn. I keep it simple.

I am a newbie, have been lurking and reading  everone's posts.  I recently received my date of June 8 for laproscopic RNY.  I am very excited and appreciate all of the information I find here.  I am 63.  My daughter-in-law had RNY two years ago and has had no problems.  I hope my age won't make it too much more difficult.  Marilyn

well good morning

glad you are having a secret special weekend Linda and Susan thanx for starting the
post this morning.

im having the family over today for a passover/easter dinner.  i told my sister and
my sister in law right up front that i will need some help because i cant get up and
down all day with the ankle.  we will see how that goes.

but im excited, cause our christmas celebration never happened so today is special
and i know my younger son is with us in spirit, since he cant come up from NC.

as to the eating, im not worried, i made a sugar free dessert and will just taste a little
of everything else.  the good thing is nobody in my family really cooks like rich or
unusually fattening stuff.  we all eat kinda plain which works for me.

more tomorrow, you all have a great day

be safe and well, jacki

I knew you would be fine, Betsy, just continue to have the faith in you that all of us do. You will accomplish a lot..........just one day at a time instead of a lifetime........

Love and hugs to you, sweetie.

Hello everyone! Thanks Libby for letting us know Mom is alright. Wow! A romantic get a way with Romeo........he is better than the traditional Easter bunny.

Today is going to be a bit busy but nothing overly exhausting. I am just not up to one of those kind of days. I feel tired for some reason. Don't ask me.
I am just as much at a loss as everyone else around here!

Food today is going to be the usual I think. Nothing great but good for me.

B: sf oatmeal with sunflower kernels
S: deli meat with mustard and cheese
D: probably chicken with steamed veggies~but not for sure
S: maybe popcorn

I have to hem my pants for Easter.....I guess no one else is going to do it.....much to my sadness. I hate doing that. I have to whack them off I am sure or I will have a hem of a gazillion inches.......probably up to my waistband and that in not fashion acceptable. I hate being short. I always wanted to be tall with long legs....I guess it isn't going to happen.

Have a wonderful day and remember I love each and every one of you. I am sending lots of love and plenty of hugs to go with all the prayers that I pray for you all.

S - ham and cheese
L - busy and skipped it
S - a hand full of tostitos
D - ham and a boiled egg
S - probably a protein shake

Happy Easter everybody!
