Karen, I don't know Monica.  But I hope, for your sake, she comes to your aid.  I am so sorry for your situation.

My brother was an alcoholic and it caused his death.  Indirectly.  He drank to get drunk every day.  And he was a bartender.  Woke up in the morning with a headache.  Start drinking again until the pain was gone, then go to work.  Ends up he had a brain tumor.  When they found it, it was the size of a softball.  Gave him six months to live.  He lasted 3 weeks.

I am sorry, but to get back on track.  Do you belong to a local AA group?  Is there anyone there you can call?  I am glad you sought out the assistance of Monica, because that shows you really want to stop it.
