Empty Nest Blues

Debbie....I understand your pain.It is a very difficult time. We are here when you need us.

My daughter left home, got married and lived in Germany for two years. My granddaughter was born there.That was the hardest time of my life.

They do come back. It is just doesn't seem like it right now.

I agree...you will have a wonderful place to vacation!! Maui is my favorite island. I would live there if it was at all possible.

I would deal with it by visiting her in Maui ... lol. I had NO PROBLEM adjusting to the empty nest so I can't help much. (((( hugs ))))

Thank you to all the kind WLS people who answered my post . It does help, to talk about it, and hear your supportive replies. Still cry everytime I think about it though. Its going to take time, my whole life was entirely devoted to my kids, so now Im alittle lost. Im going to need a hobby ! !!!Thanks for the Hugs. Debbie

I am sorry this is so hard for you. I had the one child whom I raised on my own and I gave up 20+ years of my prime time of life to be a good Mother. I view this now as ME TIME and I love it! YEs keeping busy and getting involved in things (hobbies, etc) may be the answer for you. Best wishes (((((( hugs ))))))
