OT: the "shoes"
my gf and i went to peebles looking for a dress for her for saturday 's festivities at the DAR conference- i convinced her NOT to get one of those handkechief styles--she bought a darling navy thing that i wish i could fit into!!-anyhow- they had shoes buy one get one half- so she bought me a pair--ok- a teensy metallic(NOT shiny!!!!) - not gold not silver more gold than silver - (actually picks up the creamy peach when near the dress!) --they are a toe less slide- sorry not a great description!! so i can slip them off my feet under the table!! they have a fairly wide part across the top of the foot and about a 1.5 - 2 " heel so i won't fall off!!! maybe i can take a pic someday- cuz i'm not describing well! but thanx all for your input!!!
there's a "costume house" in town where i can go for white gloves for the receiving line- ugh!!! and i have to find a decent long slip and bra- thought i had one but the slip is too big ( a 2X) -was bought pre wls! i think the shoulder pads are coming out too!!!
