I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Morning sunshine,
Way to go on the deal of the year dress! Never ask a man shoe advice! LOL
Crazy week at work, lots of cancellations, re-scheduling, no shows. What started out as a great week is turning out to be not so good. Oh well, another stylist and I are trading color jobs today, so at least I can get rid of my grey without messing around doing it myself before work today.
Gary's sister gently brought up the subject of Rose moving here to live in some sort of facility, claiming it must be cheaper here than CA. Well, yes, maybe. I know it's something Gary and I need to look long and hard at that, but my immediate reaction is not no, but HE** no! First of all, she's still with it enough to know that moving to AR isn't anything she wants to do. She's never liked visiting here, thinks we're all toothless hillbillies and is very, very racist. Too much to think about this early in the morning. Just have to have faith that all will work out.
Gary's leaving early for a class today, so I'd better get it moving. Hugs and smoochies to all!

NIX the white shoes. I hate them myself. Perhaps since I wore them for work (Medical Field) for all those years....I hate white hose too!! haha .The dress sounds pretty and the price is the best part!!! I am sure you will look divine my dear! (smile)
Have a great time and be yourself.
Huggers,
Sandy

I am with Annette with the color. I would go with a simple shoe too. Nothing big and clunky but some that is very feminine. I love shopping at Goodwill. This Saturday is half price day and I told Bill that I want to go to Valparaiso 'cause they have the best clothes.
You will look like a true vision.....I know you will.

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
Wow, what a great deal on the dress, Margo! I'm not much on shoes ... my idea of shoes is my New Balance white sneakers ... with my bad feet, dress shoes are a pain (literally) and especially now with that ingrow toenail surgery nearly two weeks ago, anything too tight hurts. But maybe an off-white would be nice? You wouldn't want to be too dark.
Well, I have a full-blown cold now ... I blame it on working sports ... all those young kids down there passing around germs (it's probably Kim's son Aaron, who works sports and always teasingly comes by and says, "Money?" ... he will be a computer programmer and make loads more than I ever will, so I tell him I'll be asking him for money. He graduates soon.) Really felt miserable when I got up this morning ... didn't want to get out of bed, my whole body hurt. I got up at 5 and took a vicodin because my knees and back hurt so much. I was coughing so much last night that Scooter left the bed (he doesn't like loud noises). He came back and snuggled next to me after I feel asleep and stayed that way all night. The coughing has subsided ... good ol' Breath Right strips stopped the crap from going down my throat. I didn't have cough medicine in the house, but I have some cough drops at least.
Talked to Paulette and Brenda this morning, and we're all getting together on Monday for lunch in Portage. Can't wait to see them again! It'll be so much fun seeing some of my sistahs!
Well, not much else new. I have no energy today. I drank two cups of my wellness tea yesterday and plan to have more today, along with a lot of water, because I feel so dry. So thirsty! And so tired too. Wish I didn't have to go to work. At least I'll be done Friday and off for the week.
Well, have a good day.

Aloha OFF family!
Margo...you ARE a bargain shopper...a woman after my own heart!! What a deal you got on that dress.........I bow to your shopping prowess!! As for the shoes, I think a natural, skin tone color would look lovely. On "Dancing with the Stars" the women with these beautiful outfits are usually wearing shoes that are skin tone in color. Maybe go back to that thrift shop, and the perfect pair will jump off the shelf into your hands.
Yesterday was my day with the babies at the hospital. I had NINE! Oh, they were so darling...and I got lots of good snugs and touches on that oh so soft skin. Makes me miss my own grandbabies very much.
Today is easy ..... just a haircut this afternoon...and the hairdresser comes to us....so wonderful. She started that when I broke my leg several years ago and couldn't get to her house. And, now she cuts my friend's hair and mine so it makes it worth her while to come here.
I'm TRYING to declutter...sort of spring cleaning. I took a HUGE suitcase full of large size clothes to the thrift shop yesterday. Some of things were brand new, never worn.....especially the swimsuits. Of course I found a few things to bring home, too.....BAD KAREN!!
I'm on a quest to find a large enough pet carrier for my two kitties for when they tent our building and we have to move out. So far eBay has been disappointing...the shipping is horrible to Hawaii....sometimes more than the item. My Calif. kids would like me to come visit them while the tenting goes on, but that would mean leaving my kitties in a "pet hotel" and I would worry about them. I think they would feel abandoned. I can't believe how much I'm worrying about this.
It's a glorious morning so I think I'll put on swimsuit and go sit on the lanai and read the paper. Might even see a whale or two...they are still here, thankfully.
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen
