thanks so much, everyone , for your prayers and positive thoughts-and the hugs!
i sat with him a few hours this afternoon-missed the surgeon but his feeling is to be cautious-not rush to operate-so--
the ng tube's suction seems to be helping -as well as the barium junk he drank--he was able to have 3 productive poos before i left (sorry if TMI)....and we heard mucho bowel sounds  in his tummy -sooo.our pcp is encouraged!

he is doing fairly well tonite- we talked a few minutes ago---doc will make his rounds in the morning and they will do more xrays...

something that is so hard...he was aware for hours last nite that something was going on-didn't tell me til much later-(almost 6 hours after it started)  it's hard to know when to go to ER and when it may be "just gas and bloating"...so i am grateful that we had the sense to go....

when i got home this afternoon, the dogs an di took a 3 hour nap...we have now had supper and are watching yet another hallmark movie- i love this "love" series...

need to feed the birds and potty the dogs before bed...

again thanks so much for your caring! it really means so much to us....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

This does sound encouraging!  Sure hope you get good news in the morning, now you go get some sleep. You must be exhausted by now.

Margo,

My prayers for you and your hubby, I just saw this post, not sure what happened as I did not get to what it was, but what does matter is that he is doing much better and I will pray for him to continue to do so and for you to get rest.

Prayers, positive healing vibes and strength, oh and a big cyber hug just for you, Laureen

Margo,

Utterly exhausting for both of you. Poo and bowel sounds are encouraging signs.

Take care Honey.

I hope things continue to go well for your husband,    Can't our mates scare us to death sometimes when we don't know what is going on with them?
Will continue to pray for you both.

Margo, it certainly sounds like things are working on fixing themselves which is always a good thing. I know when Bill had his bowel obstruction they waited and it repaired itself. I was so glad he didn't have to have surgery but he is such a bear when he is in the hospital. I hope that Michael isn't as bad for you. Men are just babies in grown up clothes.

Prayers continue for you and for Michael. Please continue to keep us posted on how he is doing.

Sending lots of love and gentle, reassuring hugs to you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
