Liz Update

Thank-You for all your good thoughts and prayers. You who have followed the medical adventures of my DD know NOTHING comes simple with her. So when they went in to do an "outpatient" gall bladder, when they got in there, they found a hernia and a twisted bowel, then she had trouble breathing, the next day they tested her for a pulminary embolism( which she has had before) and she ended up allergic to the dye and had a reaction. But she keeps on smiling and never complains. she just got out of the hospital last night and came to my house. I have kept 8 week old Hunter, and found I am way to old for a full time 8 week old. Good thing to find out as I have been thinking of going back into infant foster care. No way. She is at my house right now, her brother is sitting with her until I get off work. She is only complaining about the soft diet and no more than 1/2 a cup an hour for the next 10 days. So now you know where I have been. She will be going home tonight and i think I will spend the weekend.  It was great getting to spend time snuggling my sweet grandbaby but he sure doesnt think sleep is very important. Blessings and Thanks from One wilted grandma.

Jean,

Jeepers Creepers - what an ordeal! She is lucky to have you to help out and I am glad to hear she is in safe hands. Blessings to all.

Grands are lovely but can sure sap our strength quickly. Grandma's are like the Energizer Bunny - we keep on going. TiredDragging tail, but moving.

So glad your daughter is doing better.  My youngest grandchild is 7 and I am looking forward to another baby someday from my daughter, or at least they are trying for one.  I don't know as I could do all night with an 8 week old, it would scare me to death!

you are a brave woman and a wonderful Grandma.

Jean, I'm sorry to hear Liz had so many problems with what should have been a simple gall bladder surgery.  She's definitely a trooper!  Keeping y'all in my prayers.

I am so glad that she is getting better. I know that things have been rough in the past and hopefully all of that is behind you now.

I know, from talking to friends who have grandchildren, that is why God makes sure that women our age can't have more kids. They would be raising themselves since we would be in a corner either snoozing or tearing out our hair one strand at a time.

Prayers continue for you and your family.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Oh my goodness.  I feel exhausted just reading your update!  I can just imagine how you must feel!  Thankfully you were able to be there for her.  Now take special care of yourself this weekend, and know that prayers and best wishes are being sent your way.  Take care - Debra

special hugs, sweetheart!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Goodness, your daughter has had more troubles the last couple of years. I am sorry I didn't respond before now. I have not been on for a week.  I am glad she is doing better and hope she heals up fast.  You are a great mom and grandma!

Take care
Mickey
