Good Morning.  I took a nice long nap yesterday and now -- you guessed it -- I'm having trouble sleeping.   But, the nap was so worth it!

What's on tap for you today?

We're driving over the hill to Costco.

Good Saturday morning to you, Cindy and my other OFF'ers. I hope that this day brings nothing but happiness and joy to everyone.

Nothing much going on here today. I am going to call the doctor and see if I can get in to see here this morning. I saw a rash on my legs yesterday afternoon and I think that is the reason I am having such a headache and just feel like crap. I am on a anti-biotic and I think that is all a allergic reaction to it. I usually get the reactions after I take the medication a few times. It is the same with this one. The rash doesn't itch or anything but it is there. I am not going to take it this morning until I see her.

I am not planning a lot today. I think that I might just stick around the house today and veg. I got on the Hallmark channel now and I am watching Golden Girls. In a while the movies are going to start and that might be my day in a nutshell. The movies and napping. Hmm....doesn't sound half bad.

I am going now so I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers. I hope that you all remember to smile and make everyone happy......them for seeing and sharing it and you for bringing joy to others lives and yours too.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I have to pick up the palm fronds from the florist and deliver them to the church. Then the rest of the day will be Yard sales.  My husband's little church is having a huge one, there is an antique shop having one and a little sandwich shop that is having one.  All within about 5 miles.

I am hoping to find some 1X or 20WP clothes, mine are getting baggy.

have a great day!

Morning Cindy!  So nice to see you this bright and early morning. Sunshining Saturday here in Central AR, not a cloud in the sky and 74 degrees. Lucky folks that get to be out and about!

I did something yesterday that in 33 years of being a hairdresser I've only done one other time; fired a client. I feel relieved that I don't have to stress for the two or three days preceding her appointment any more. She was a fairly new client who clearly didn't trust my abilities, wanted me to do crazy things to her hair, like reapplying GEL to it AFTER it was dried and ironed!!! The topper yesterday was when she came in (never even says hello to me) and proudly says "you have a lot less hair to work with this week". Not only had she gone to her former stylist to get a cut, but a color as well.  I was infuriated and insulted. So, I told her how I felt and that she should go back to "her friend Alex" for him to do her hair. Her response?  " Do you want to do it today?".  No, I said, I want you to leave.

Just because I'm in a service industry doesn't mean I have to accept being treated badly.  I don't even feel bad for doing what I did.

Okay, onto a bright and super day. Great clients today, beautiful day outside, good friends here. No more Faye. Life is good.

Hugs to one and all

Susan

You don't have to take that crap. People deserve to be treated well regardless of what profession they're in. Bravo for standing up for yourself and kicking her to the curb.

Thanks, Eileen,

You know, the mind set towards hairdressers has changed tremendously over my 33 years. It used to be that you went to beauty college because you weren't smart enough for a "real" college. This woman was of the "age" where she probably thought she could get away with such nonsense. HA!!

Losing weight has also played a part of this. Three years ago I probably wouldn't have had the confidence to stand up for myself.

Good morning, OFF'ers!!

When it rains it pours around here.  I'm usually such a homebody on the weekends... well, shopping, but not socializing...but last night got a chance to go to the Hotel ZaZa in Dallas... pretty little exclusive hotel tucked back off McKinney.  They were filming something...have no idea... it was while I was drinking a glass of white wine and eating a scrumptious piece of $50 salmon...which I finally got OUT of my stomach at 3 a.m. this morning so I could go to sleep... and I've got a terrible headache. I truly am a cheap date... but I wasn't paying... and it was ordered for me... just wanted the little appetizer but knew I'd better be one of the group....didn't even eat all of the salmon... it was a 6 oz cut so only had about 3-4 oz.... but the good news is... my little pouch is still working...

Today my family has tickets for the ballgame in Arlington... and wouldn't you know it, the little gal that I had dinner with last night was lamenting the fact that she has never been to Dallas and would love for me to show her around and take her shopping... so my plans with family may change.  I'm just waiting for a call.

Tomorrow has got to be get my house clean day.. because tomorrow night the grandbabies are in a musical at church and I'm going.

Next week is grandson's tenth and so there will be something, I'm sure... and Easter.  Time is ticking down to Thelma and Louise hit the High Seas.  While I'm excited about the trip, I realize I need to find a roofer and get that settled and get my income tax done.  Why do I push everything to pressure state?????

Well, off to make a phone call and see if I can get out of the shopping trip... I really don't want to go.. but guess it would be fun... just not the shopping I like to do.... but ya nevah know, might find a bargain I can't live without.

Everyone have a good day...
