MRI WITH CONTRAST
Sweet Linda, don't wuss out! I had to have this done when I ruptured my Achilles tendon a couple of years ago. No big deal at all!!! The technician said I might feel some flushing when they injected the dye, but if I did, it was minimal.
Put it this way....I'd rather do this than a colonoscopy any day!

Linda,
I have had the MRI done on my brain so many times through the last few years. Nothing to be worried about. You will be laying on your back while they run the MRI for a few images. Then you will be brought out long enough for them to inject the "dye" into the IV in your arm or hand. As they inject it, the solution will be warm and you will feel it go through. Does not hurt. Then they will slide you back into the machine to do the rest of the images. Are you going to the "open" one or the "tunnel" one. I am claustrophopic (?) so mine is done in the open one. You will be fine. Let us know what they have to say.

I have the same problem. My veins always roll or blow. I always have bruises on my arm. There is only one person that can do this without any problem is my family doctor's phlobotomist (?). She is great. Anyhow, Hopefully yours will fill up with no problem. Take care and God bless! Let me know what the test report says. Yes, I am nosey : ) lol!

Linda,
I was so afraid of the iodine that I cried, carried on and had a complete tantrum. They couldn't keep me on the table. Small wonder that they didn't put me in a padded room instead.
The tech sat me down and explained EVERYTHING. The main point being that without the contrast the doctors could not get the best possible image and the test would not show my problem.
So, I popped an Ativan (maybe it was TWO of them) to calm me down and let them do the contrast. It was no big deal.
When it started to go in I felt like I was peeing myself, just as they warned. By then the Ativan had worked its magic and I actually giggled.
You need to find out what is going on in that beautiful head of yours. No more guessing, just a nice clear image. OKAY?
Warm hugs and sloppy kisses
