Good morning Eileen and everyone.....

I am happy to say the sun it actually shining today...wooohooooo!! Temp is only in the 30s but at least the sun feels good!! Hopefully all the snow will disappear once again.

A good friend of mine has taken over a bar here in town.  He has turned it into a country western bar...wooooooo!! He had the bar totally gutted. It now has a huge dance floor, a mechanical bull, a cafe and many other awesome amenities. It opens for the first time tonight. I am going out there for a little while tonight just to check it out. He named it Rollie's Rednecks and Longnecks!! I love my country music!

My cleaning fairy is here doing her magic!!

I have to run a few errands later...RXs etc.

Have a happy day everyone. Pay it forward!!

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hey, Connie, since you into country music maybe you can help me out. There is a song that was really popular a while back. I need the name and singer if you can help me out. It goes like "If I offered my hand, would you take it and make me the happiest man in the world. And goes on about soaring on the wings of a rainbow and on and on. I love that song since it holds a very special memory in my heart. Can you help me out at all on this?

How are you feeling......I hope better. I am sending love and hugs and prayers to you, dear.

I think Randy Travis sang it.  Not sure of the title.

Hi All! I am sooo glad to be back home. I had to fly to KC, MO and drive a rental car to get down to the town where my dad lives. It was the scheduled care conference that got me there...the snow that kept me there! I had the nursing home change the date for the conference from the first week in March to a dqate later in the month.(Igot there just fine...couldn't gret out though. ) Conference went well...no problems. But the airport closed down and cancelled my flight. It wouldn't have been so bad to stay 3 days in a motel if I had had company. Ah well, got lots of reading done. Today is mostly for recuperation...I'm exhausted from poor sleep in strange beds. Gotta go have my nails done this afternoon. Of course I'll be getting into my gym clothes soon and see if I can get back into my 5-7 mile per day trek on my treadmill first. I'm not so sure my tired body will get much done. But I will give it a go. Denver had another snow storm yesterday and expect another on Friday-Saturday. We were begging for moisture on our parched and fire prone lands. Should one be careful what she prays for? I have no regrets...even if my beloved daffodils had already blossomed and now hang limp from the heavy snow. I can't complain as so many of you are in much worse weather conditions. I pray that you all are safe, dry and warm.

 Cheers, Rusty

Aloha Eileen and OFF sibs.....

Eileen, thank you for getting this started. My time difference now is bigger than during daylight savings, so when I log on around 6:00 a.m. Hawaii time, there are already 15 or more posts to What's New.

You mention seeing your psychologist. Having been a psychologist for many years, I often wonder how my former patients are. Just last night I had a message on my machine from a young woman I saw many years ago in Santa Cruz. She said she has been searching for me for 8 years, and wondered if it was really me. I feel guilty that I had to search my brain for who she was, but sleeping on it made her pop into my head vividly....and I look forward to calling her to see how she is. I think being a psychologist is sort of like being a teacher....you hope you have made a difference, but often you don't get to find out.

Yesterday I went to the hospital to test the hearing of a baby born at home. Such a difference from testing the babies who are only hours old. The parents are there for one thing....and I felt the pressure to do a good job, and held my breath hoping that their child passed. It would have been difficult to explain what happens if he had not passed.

Today is a FREE day.....yeah! I'm just happily watching the night turn to day, and will do whatever moves me. I love days like this...and lately seems like they are less frequent.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Good Morning Everyone!
I'm at work with a bit of free time since all of the children are having their yearly testing sessions. I can't believe how quickly each year goes.
I have a big knot on my forehead from running into a window- graceful isn't it? I was running out to my car to get my daughter's birthday present and in trying to negotiate one of those circular doors I made a bad judgement and hit the side hard with my forehead- geez- talk about feeling stupid!
Other than that small humiliation everything is good here- I'm very grateful for my life as it is right now. It's not perfect, but it is good.
