I think that I wished someone stressed the sugar alcohols more to me. I can tolerate sugar better than I can the sugar alcohols. They do a real trip on me. Sometimes I believe that we are so intense on looking for sugar we sometimes forget the sugar alcohols.
You have to make sure that you follow your doctor's rules. I always say that if you ask 10 different doctor's the same questions you would probably get at least 7 different answers.
Just follow the rules and if in doubt leave it out!!
I will be waiting for the list that you compile. It is going to be interesting.

1. Follow your doctor's rules. Listen to suggestions from others, but ultimately remember, your doc got big bucks to do the surgery.
2. If the doc says drink 64 oz of water a day, it does not mean you have to stop there. I am doing 96-128 oz a day. I drink it as Crystal Light.
3. Exercise. I do not exercise enough, but I certainly see the benefits when I do.
4. Go to a STRUCTURED SUPPORT GROUP. On the Texas Message Board, they have breakfasts every other week. About 40 or so people show up every week. A lot of people consider it a support group. It is, but it is a social support group. A structured one is necessary. I go to one done by an OH support group leader. She does an excellent job. Once a month, each month has a specific topic. We will be meeting this weekend, with the discussion being on emotional eating.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
