Osteoarthritis treatment after WLS?
Jean, I take Celebrex and something for my stomach. My surgeon put me back on it. I was in so much pain that I couldn't hardly walk. I went out and bought a cane. I also take tramadol for pain. I don't take that everyday, just when the pain is really bad.
The doctor (surgeon) said sometimes it is necessary for a patient to take nsaids. So you have to take nexxum, prilocet or something to coat your stomach to help prevent ulcers. So far I haven't had any trouble. I don't have as much trouble with my hip, except when it rains. So this week I had to take a tramadol here and there.
Good luck.

I take plaquenil. I had to take it for 90 days, prove that it gave me more mobility, and you need to be faithful to an annual eye exam. Other than the special eye exam, I have no side effects. It's been 13 yrs. I don't necessarily have pain so muh as stiffness, but I shudder to think where I'd be without it.

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
