good morning linda and everyone
its saturday 7 am and my pouch has been grumbly all week. however, the good news
is that i am walking a little bit more each day and i see light at the end of the tunnel
now. i spoke to the therapist and he thinks i may be able to do some part time work
by first week of May. im nervous and excited.
anyway, i think i need to get back to basics with my food intake. its not so much that im eating
the wrong things, but just that ive been trying new combinations of foods and stuff, and mr. pouch does not seem happy about it.
so today i will try and eat plain and simple, at least thats the plan
got coffee brewing
fluff for breakfast (recipe from main fourm) which has cottage cheese, yogurt and jello in it.
lunch and dinner im not sure, hubby may want to go out, but im thinking plain simple food.
thats my story and im sticking with it
hugs to all, jacki

Jacki, I am so glad that things are starting to look up for you. When we see the light at the end of the tunnel it gives us one more thing to be grateful for and to strive to go to. It has been a long hard recovery for you and you are finally getting to the payoff of your hard work and your tolerance. Which I might add, your tolerance seems to be so much better than I would have had.
Sending you lots of love and hugs!
Sending you lots of love and hugs!
Good morning, Linda.
I'm in a better frame of mind today, thank goodness.
You're right, it's hard to stay positive when there's so much sadness around us. But it's definitely worth the effort.
I have been trying to give up milk because so many people (including medical professionals, although when I went through diabetes education, no one ever told me to avoid milk) have told me that the body converts it to sugar so quickly. I have concluded that I just can't do it. Anyway, where is it written that whatever you give up for Lent has to be food? I think I'll concentrate on giving up swearing instead.
B: coffee protein shake (made with milk!)
S: iced skinny latte (more milk!)
L: Gyro turkey meatballs, broccoli & cauliflower
S: smoked turkey & muenster cheese wrapped around a slice of avocado
D: salmon with lemon-olive sauce, sauteed onions
S: ricotta cheesecake fluff with raspberry sauce

Hiya Jean,I never heard about the milk thing, that's interesting, have you gone to a diabetic website or forum to get more info on it? Has the weight loss helped your diabetes?
Staying positive is something I must do,as my mind can go to dangerous, unhappy places, and I deserve more than that. Plus,I want to give sunshine,no matter what.
Please let me know how your diabetes tests are running,I have never heard Connie say anything about the milk either, maybe she will chime in if she sees this.
I love your pic, your face looks sunny and happy.
Have a wonderful Saturday.
