Oh this is so frustrating!
when they say 60 mg of protein that is just a starting place....and when you figure that we may not get as much as only 50 % of what we eat and drink , then why wouldnt you need to increase your intake by putting in some liquid form of protein....we can not and wont lose weight unless you get enough protein....and you may add up 60 or 80 from food but if it is as little as 50% like the lastest study says then it is only 30 to 40 hope this helps some....if you can understand my gribbish....

My dietitian warned me that at about 6 months out I would hit a plateau. I was a late bloomer and waited until 7 months out. It was very frustrating but it passed. Can't recall exactly how long.
The numbers on the scale drove me nuts but the tape measure showed I was losing inches - good thing or I would have ended up in a huggy jacket.

Your plan of protein, fruits and veggies will probably help.
You mentioned drinking more coffee. Is it black or do you add some sort of milk/creamer? When I went through the OH leader training, that was a point mentioned. Creamers add sneaky calories.
As Marti always advised " keep on keeping on". The scale will move again.
Have fun on your vacation.

You know that does make me feel much better... what your dietician said. I plan to "keep on keeping on".... what else is there to do, right? I'm not going to give up... this is a way of life so logically... the weight has to eventually come off. I notice a difference in my clothes I just don't get why the scale refuses to show it. I might kick the darn thing down the steps one of these days... plus I know I should be staying off of it because I tend to obsess... old old bad habit.
I do drink my coffee black.

however---- adding some milk to te coffee can stay off teh blood sugar spikes that some of us have...
just a thought! that doesn't help laura's stall.....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hey Laura
It looks like if your dates are correct you are out about 6 months. Right!! Your body has just lost 87+ lbs. it is trying to adjust to that level.
As long as you don't get off track
& continue to eat what you have been. You should be just fine & start losing again soon. As for the coffee, I drink lots of it!! Now I am 5 yrs out & know I should drink
a lot less & a lot more water, so if you can cut back now. do it!! It is a really bad addiction of mine & wish I never started drinking the darn stuff.
Hang in there!! You have done great & will continue to do so. You might not get to exactly where you wanted, but, you are soooooo much healthier than before & that is
the point to having this surgery in the first place.
Have fun in Vegas. I am only about & hour from there, but don't have the funds to drive
it right now, would love to meet you. I know exactly where the RIO is as I watched it
being bilt when worked close by. Have fun & hioe you win some money, too!!
I do sympathize with you - I know how it feels to want to see those numbers going down on the scales. And especially when you are doing everything you can ! I think you have a good plan for protein and veggies and fruits over the next few days.
I plan to go to Las Vegas in May for my first time ever with some of my coworkers. I will be interested in some tips on staying on track.

Thanks for the nice comment on my avatar. When I get back next week I'll let you know what I did and didn't do to try and stay on track. I plan to get in a good walk every morning. That's one plan. Also I'm sticking with eating seafood as much as possible... I'm looking forward to the seafood buffet at the Rio.
Just walking between hotels on the strip is a hike... you're going to walk a lot I'm sure! I hope you have a good time when you go. I love it there... and I don't even really gamble much.
