WHAT???? OH !! WHAT'S NEW THURSDAY!!
Good Afternoon Red and Friends! Getting ready to go to the beach with the famly on Sunday so . . . I'm cooking. Old habits die hard. I still tend to show love with food. Making meals ahead to take so that we won't have to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. With the twins around I'd rather be cuddling and chasing after them than cooking. Have a frozen pot of taco meat and a big pot of spaghetti sauce with Italian sausage in the freezer. They'll travel without even having to be in a cooler and be ready to throw in with a salad for dinner on Sunday.
What else? My 2002 Honda Accord is in for it's 105,000 mile tuneup. Ouch! As if the $1029.00 for this service wasn't enough I also needed a new battery and an alignment. . . .However since it's paid for and hasn't failed me yet I'll do what it takes to keep it going strong. I bought new tires last summer and hope to wear them out if not another set too. I got a "loaner" for the day. A bright red Toyota Yaris. cute will car but makes me nervous as it has only 10 miles on it. So I parked way out in the lot at the grocery store!!
Finally have some sunshine and a hint of the warmth of the sun. Lawns are just starting to green up. Usually by now we have mowed a couple of times. I plan to plant bulbs in the fall. I've missed my tulips and daffodils. I have an order sent for from Burgess.com. Quite a few things to plant in the yard. I told Mike it will take me a while. One or two at a time until I figure out what I want. I need Jan C to come spend a week with me and help me figure it out!! I may just send her some yard pictures and see what she suggests. However, her landscaping sounds like it's a lot of work. I want pretty and maintenance free! Possible??? Probably not.
Gotta run. I hear a thrift store calling me for I turn the rental car in!
