Good morning, Fellow-OFF'ers!!

Not much happening in or around this household that would be of any interest to anyone.  It's always the same view when you ain't the lead horse.

I still don't go to the mailbox. I'm at $4 every day.  I drive 35 miles to work on the freeway.  I'm tired when I get home.  I go to bed early.  See???  Told you.

Grandkids are okay and blogging.  Sons are working and pretty boring.  One son and I meet a couple of nights a week for dinner and Farkle.

I shop on the weekends.... out of sheer boredom. Should clean house but why bother?  I don't invite anyone over and it's just cluttered.  I've got stacks of clothes ready for donation that I can no longer wear.

I've no interest in dating any longer so that stressor is out of my life.

When I make fun I do it quickly... Candy and I are taking the trip to Cozumel and I'm so looking forward to seeing her and having a good time.  It was fun putting it together and getting the chance.  I bought an old lady swimsuit with a skirt.  I may opt for a WalMart version and take this one back. I've got a month to do it.

See? Told you boring... except maybe for getting my eyebrows tattooed. I've got a permanent surprise now in jet black.  KIDDING!!!  I'm not surprised...:)

Morning, Glories!

Old dog got me up at 4:00. He'll be 15 in May, sure hope someone takes me potty when I'm 105 (15yr old in dog years)!  It's technically my day off but I have to work. Making hay while the sunshines. Sounds motivating, but it isn't really cutting it this morning.

Gary and I met 27 years ago today. Sure wish we made some different decisions along the way, but overall, I wouldn't change anything. He's  still my best friend, and that says it all!

Other than that, I'm like you Janet, not much to report. Might get some laundry going since I'm up and won't be home later to do it. Big bumpy weather supposed to be heading our way tonight and tomorrow night....makes me nervous.

Off to make my latte. You all have a great day and know I think about you every day!

Susan

Morning friends:
I am killing time waiting to go to the beauty shop....hair cut and eyebrow wax....my once a month luxury.

I made a recipe from bariatriceating.com and took it in to work yesterday for a pot luck....it was Broccoli Quiche bites.....by 11:30 it was almost gone - I think two tiny pieces left.  That website has the most delicious and WLS friendly recipes I have found.....I just love it.....I make the recipes and share with people who don't need to lose wt. and they can't believe how good they are.

It's gray and dreary here this morning.   I've done a load of undies and gone shopping at Wally World.....so much for my day...

I'm thinking Janet's idea for tattoing my eyebrows might be a lot less painful than getting them waxed once a month....it would just be the one time pain --- ouch!
Just kidding.........

Better get going now.....have a blessed day and smile because God really does love you and so do I!

Aloha cutie.....and thanks for launching us this morning. Your life is NOT BORING! You just live with gusto.....and sometimes gusto makes you NEED to chill and just vegge out. In my case there's more "vegging" than "gustoing." Ha!

Right now it's 4:30 a.m. and I'm dressed and ready to go to the hospital to test babies. I traded with a colleague who wanted this morning off. I never know what brand new little person I will meet when I go.....but always someone has entered the world in the past 24 hours...usually at least seven someones!! Last week I had a baby with a severely cleft palate/lip....poor little guy. He passed his hearing test.......amazingly....and was able to suck which is also a blessing. Sometimes the malformed mouth babies have much difficulty eating. Eventually this little love will be good as new, but right now he looked pretty pitiful. I fell in love with him immediately!!

MARGO! Five years!! That's so awesome and I am so proud of you. You give me hope that this WLS will not blow up one of these days and make me instantly FAT again!! I'm so glad you continue to be a part of the OFF.....and all the others, too, who are several years out. I guess that now includes me....now that I think about it.

Saturday we are having our annual homeowners' meeting, and it's going to be a HOT one. Many people are fighting the termite tenting that is scheduled for Sept. I will be one of those. We live in a concrete building!! The only wood is in the top floor penthouses, and we feel that those should be treated in a way that doesn't involved ALL of us moving out for a week. Those of us with animals face a particularly difficult time....finding a place that takes pets, AND the expense is all ours ... which on Maui can be HUGE!! I have a feeling we won't win, but I'll be on my feet voicing my opinion for sure.

OK....off into the morning darkness to meet and greet new babies. I will get my hugs and snugs in which always feels wonderful.

Janet.....GO TO YOUR MAILBOX! You may have won a million dollars in the Readers' Digest contest!

Oh.....it was 81 degrees yesterday!! Worked on my tan for a couple hours.......I know, I know.....THWACK!!

Aloha again....I forgot to tell you that I have my eyebrows AND eyeliner tattooed on.....and I love it. I don't ever have to worry about eye makeup washing off in the pool or ocean. I just put on some mascara when I'm going out at night. LOVE IT!

Karen,

I've had my eyeliner on for about six years.  Love it. Was pretty expensive when I did it.. permanent make-up was just getting into vogue and I went to an electrolysist. I had my eyebrows done then but they faded mostly over time.  The whole shebang the first time was about $600.  It's much cheaper now.

My eyeliner is still good.  I had my eyebrows done again but this time in a more sandy red..:)  $150.

I'll be laid out on a slab with white hair and red eyebrows...:)

Hi Janet and my OFF family:

Nothing much happening here either. My tummy is rumbling and not doing well this morning ... been to the bathroom three times before I got to the board. Don't know what's upset it ... I'm sure my IBS is flaring, what with the stress at work.

I need to get out to the bank and store this morning but have to wait to see if my tummy will let me. Don't want to have to dash to the bathroom in the store. So I thought I'd visit on the board and check out other computer things for awhile.

I have a dentist appointment this afternoon, too ... so that's so much fun! Then work after that. See, your life is more exciting than mine ... you get to go to Cozumel. I'm not going anywhere .... well, I'm going to Chicago to see my family for Easter. But that's it. Then home after that to sit for a week and watch baseball ... that's my spring break vacation in my condo. Can't afford anything else.

Well, I'm going to have some peppermint tea and hope my tummy settles down. Have to pay a bill, too. Have a good day.

Good morning Janet and everyone.....

I am jealous ...I want to go on a vacation. Maybe someday my life will settle down and I will be able to go on one myself. I really need it!!

I want to know more about getting eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed. How painful is it?? Do you go to a regular tattoo shop?? What is the cost...approximately??? PM me if you would rather answer that way....thanks.

I am glad to be back home once again. Yesterday was a kick in the pants...I am exhausted!!  Kyleigh needs help and the system is so darn slow. All that paperwork finally filled out now the worker is gone on vacation for a week and there it sits!! We are sooooooo frustrated. We called another agency and so far haven't heard anything back. These are supposed to be crisis centers....good grief!!

My wonderful cleaning fairy is here...bless her heart!!
She is just the best!

I have a truckload of work to do for my job. I am sooooo behind. It will be a long day!!

I am sending prayers up for all of you wonderful friends. Have an awesome day!!

Keep Smiling!!!

Love and hugs to all......connie d

Connie,

I can't say having permanent makeup tattooed is painful.  It was uncomfortable more than painful.  They numb you.  The eyeliner was moreso than the eyebrows.

I'd do it again.

Cost for all of it six years ago was about $600.  It's not nearly that expensive now.  I paid $150 for my eyebrows.

An electrolysist did mine the first time.  A lady at my nail salon did the eyebrows this time.
