Stressed out

I totally blew it this past week.  My husband was in the hospital, ended up in ICU for a few days was losing blood and had 7 transfusions.   He finally came home today.     I realize now that when I am stressed I don;t make wise decisions.  I had two candy bars in the hospital.   After I did that I made sure I at least ate breakfast in the hospital cafeteria......they have scrambled eggs.
I was doing so good that last couple of weeks before this all happened my daughter took a class at the Y with me and we were going there every day.  Now I need to get back in the groove.

You are taking the right first step!

Admitting that things have gotten out of control is how you can get back in control.

Hope you and your daughter can get to the Y tomorrow and that your life will get a little more doable.

Glad your husband is better, and hope things continue to go well for him.

I'm glad your husband is ok.  It would be difficult to even think about what you're eating when your husband is in ICU. Two candy bars is not a good thing to eat but it won't destroy everything you've accomplished so far. You will get back on track. Your daughter sounds very supportive.

Boy, I know the feeling, Barb ... did the same thing Monday with the stress over work and not sleeping. It's why I still see my psychologist on a regular basis. I cannot do this alone. I tried for awhile and realized I kept going back to the old habits.

I'm glad your hubby is doing better.

Barb,
Stress makes us do all sorts of weird things. Two candy bars - they are gone and you will get back on track. Don't beat yourself up over that.

Best wishes for your hubby.
