wows. . . little, bitty ones that I . . .
Aloha friend.....Oh, what good news again caught my eye when I just logged on!! I LOVE wows.....big and small. What you describe is HUGE to my mind. Going on a journey that will not be hampered by your size is totally life changing and affirming. We DO tend to take things for granted the more years that pass from our surgery date.
Last night I went to dinner with four friends and three of us easily fit into the back seat of the car....me being one of them!! Three years ago I would have taken up at least half of the back seat all by myself! Inside I was chuckling at the wow moment I was experiencing. The others, being small people, never even knew what a wonderful moment I was having.
Thanks for sharing something so important to all of us!
Have fun, fun, fun!

WAHOOOIEEE!!! Those are wonderful WOWs!!!
They say that when one door closes, another one opens. I know you will have a GREAT time in SLC and something serendipitous will happen. Allow extra room in your carry-on for all those photocopies you'll be making! I get soooo excited when I hear someone is going to SLC aka "The Candy Store." I can't wait to hear all about it. Send us a note or two from the library--they let you use their computers for the Internet.

All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press
on to your destination.

on to your destination.

I've been told to be sure to take at least a 2GB Jump drive or cruiser or something like that. Hope it is as easy to use as I've been told. I can plug it into the computer and copy the records. . . Go figure! I always hand copied everything and then had a terrible time reading my own writing. I think anything on my screen I'll be able to copy to that little drive and bring it home with me. Talk about saving time and space!

Karen, I agree with everyone else. These are mini wows, they're all big ones that mean so much.
After so many years the big shocking OMG wows don't come along as often, but we can't forget where we've come or take for granted the wonderful opportunities this surgery has given us.
Thanks for the reminder, my friend!

Good for you! I don't know if I still could haul around a suitcase three blocks, though, not with my back and twice-repaired knee (although it's better). But the hotel sounds wonderful, and I'm looking forward to that day, too. Have a great time. I hear downtown Salt Lake City is very interesting (from my friend Roxane, who spent some time roaming there before a volunteer Sierra Club trip many years ago).
