Mouthwatering Monday!
Before you all think I have totally lost it......I know that it is still Sunday. I have to go to an early doctor's appointment with my sister tomorrow so I might not get on here before I have to leave. I thought that it would be better if I started it today while it was on my mind. You all know how this mind of mine works.......or should I say doesn't work at times!
The topic for this week is.............Homemade Dressings
I have a feeling that a lot of you make your own salad dressings some of the time. Now is your time to share them with all of us. So....get out the old recipe boxes and jot one down for us this week. Making a dressing is one of the things that I have been wanting to do so this is going to help me to start doing it. So thanks in advance for all the great ones that everyone seems to have.
Remember that we keep it down to one recipe per week so we can repeat the same topic at other times.
Remember that it doesn't have to be salad dressings. It could be dressings that are used with other things such as vegetables and such.

Cooked Fruit Salad Dressing
1 tablespoon flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup canned pineapple juice
1/2 cup orange juice
4 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup whipping cream
Combine all ingredients (except whipping cream) in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Cool, then chill. Whip cream and fold into chilled mixture. This is good as a dip with fresh fruit or served over fruit salads.
