You can always order samples from Michelle (vitalady.com) & not buy a big tub of something you don't like or won't use all of. You might not get before Wed,but, it's always worth a shot.

I'm not a fan of anything in chocolate.  My first choice is always strawberry, then vanilla with some sf flavored syrup (usually raspberry).  SOOO -

For a meal:

My favorite is EAS Carbadvantage - I drink it hot, cut with a little skim milk

Designer whey dry mixed with skim milk, or non-fat dry milk and water, blended with ice.  I don't do icey as well as I used to, so I don't do this often.  But at the end of the day you can add fruit or yogurt or whatever you need to get the required calories and/or protein.

Just to get in portein:

I like Liquid Whey bullets  42 g per 3 OZ.  I mix half with a bottle of water.  I like orange.

Or Isopure, Icey Orange.  If you put it in the freezer, unopened for 45 minutes (SET THE TIMER), and then take the top off it turns into a slurpee.  Yumm.

I like Unjury vanilla and chocolate. They also have an unflavored that can be mixed into soups or puddings for added protein with no added flavor. And they have a strawberry sorbet which I do not care for.  I was given this brand in the hospital when I had my surgery and I think it's pretty popular.  I've tried several brands and like this one best. You can buy sample packs on their website, unjury.com

I mix the vanilla or the chocolate with coffee and a little milk or 1/2 & 1/2, add some ice and it's delicious as a cold drink.

I also mix the vanilla with soda that has gone flat for a creamy tasting drink. I like it best with orange soda or rootbeer.

The thing to remember is that this mixes best in luke warm to room temp liquid. I let my coffee cool down a bit and my soda warm up a bit before mixing it in.

I use AnyWhey Protein powder, which is virtually flavorless, and blend it with Dannon Lite and Fit Yogurt and milk.  In season, I throw in fresh berries also.  I also mix the AnyWhey with Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast and nonfat milk.  I can't taste the protein powder.  You can be really creative with it.

Good Luck.

Hello...good luck on your pre op diet.

My surgeon suggested I use Boost High Protein Drinks.
I really like the chocolate. In fact I still keep them on hand and drink them occasionally. Now I use the Glucose Control Formula. A meal in a bottle....yum!!

Thank you 1 and all for the advice on shakes. I bought some samples at Vitamin Shoppe and ordered some vitalady.

Chike shakes aren't too bad, but my drink of choice is the EAS AdvantEdge.  I'm nearly 5 months out and have hit a major plateau so my NUT advised me to up my protein intake.  Hope that helps.
