What's New FRIDAY?
Annette sorry about the snow...im not rubbing it in but i am planting early veggies today, peas , califlower, cabbage etc.....our temps have been anywhere from high 60s to high 70s . i already have a tan from working outside.
was out all day long yesterday cleaning out several flower beds. it seems like i dont get on here much anymore , im always outside working on something. I build a new trillis for the morning glories that i will plant later. I have some tomatoes on two of my tomatoe plants in the greenhouse.
well guess that is about all the news from here, not very exciting except for the fact that i can now work outside all day long , where 3 years ago i could barely walk outside.....

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY

Good morning Annette and everyone here reading. Annette, have fun shopping and spending time with your children. That sounds like so much fun. Grandchildren are so special.
We don't have any plans. If the weather is nice, maybe we will get outside and get rid of the chickweed growing in the flower beds - ugh, I hate that stuff. With the ground being soft, hopefully it will pull out easily.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. TGIF!

Hooray, it's Friday!!
Ran to Walmart early for some of their black angus deli roast beef. I love that rolled up with a thin slice of sharp cheddar and some mustard!! I find something I really like, and want to eat it every day. After a couple of weeks, I get tired of it and move on to something else!
Got a new pressure cooker yesterday and I am anxious to make a nice moist pot roast!! Yummmmmmmy!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Annette and my OFF friends,
Happy Spring!!
I have been away for too long and have missed you all. Things are getting better here although still so hectic with getting our granddaughters back and forth to school and activities and Earl & I have had so many doctor appts in between. I love having my grands but they do wear me out. We did get to go south for one week while they were on spring break since they spent that week with their dad. We went to Alabama and had a great time with my dear sister from another mother. The break of routine and my sister, Sher, helped me to get back on track with my food. My weight is still stuck but I know why and now feel like I am back on track and will start losing again.
I think I am finally over this virus that has lingered since December. I have had so many tests and seen so many doctors but think the ENT has gotten to the bottom of everything. I see him next Tuesday to get the results from the Thyroid Nuclear Scan, as long as that is ok and no cancer, all will be great, the biopsy was non specific. To make a long story short I have been having lots of trouble swallowing, the endo. thinks the thyroid nodule had grown. The ENT thinks I may have GERD so put me on Zantac which seems to have helped some. Also I have had a sinus infection since December thanks to the lousy virus, so after the 3rd round of antibiotics that seems to have cleared up. Cat scan of the sinuses on Tues to make sure. No I just need some more warm weather!! Earl has recovered nicely from his hand surgery in January but is putting off the other hand till August.
I envy Jan C planting her garden all ready. I have the bug to get started but it is too wet in the garden to plant yet and too early here. Wish I had a greenhouse to start plants from seeds.
Hugs to all, Paulette

Good Friday Morning to All and Happy First Day of Spring?
It is foggy here this morning but temps are supposed to get up in the forties and even hit 50 tomorrow and Sunday but the weather people are predicting another big snow/rain storm coming the first of next week!! We get teased with few nice days and then get bombarded with the same old crap we've had this long long cold winter. I have a icky headache this morning and my tummy doesn't feel too good. I hope I'm not coming down with the flu or something. Alot of it going on around our area. We are planning on a family Birthday dinner for DH on Saturday. I don't have to cook it as we will go to his favorite steak house. Nothing else planned besides church on Sun. morning and a run to WalMart for the usual necessities.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Hugs, Sandy

Morning Annette and OFF!
Had a few busy days...gym, shopping, and a new haircut....Mary (Baseball-Mom),made me do it! Haven't had a change in many, many, many, many years. She says it looks really good, but I am trying to get used to it. It is growing on me though (no pun intended).
Today, Mary and I are meeting a friend of hers (I never met her) for lunch. This evening, I will just veg...nothing new for me in the last 4 months...I feel like a salad..vegging...get it...I know my humor is dull....
Will be visiting my Mom tomorrow...she just had her 7 1/2 year check up with her oncologist and is still cancer free....they say it is a miracle. She had lung cancer in 2001 and they removed a quadrant of the diseased lung. She smoked for over 60 years before her diagnosis, but because she quit smoking 3 months before the cancer diagnosis, they determined that this prevented the spread to her lymph nodes or other organs. Imagine that....60 years of daily smoking, 3 months of not smoking, lung cancer, and now cancer free. ..miracle? prayer? Who cares....she is alive at 82 and we are grateful. I guess it also shows that it is never too late to quit smoking!
My mother-in-law on the other hand, just had 2 days of transfusions because her myeloma is out of remission. Some of you may remember that last summer after my FIL passed away, she was quite ill, on life-support and a day away from having the machine turned off. After almost 7 weeks, she miraculously came back and after months of rehab, has been living back in her home. Things were improving until her blood work came back a couple weeks ago and ........
So, we are back in intensive prayer mode.
Well, that is enough from me. Here's wishing all of you a great day....a super spring day!!
Hugs,
Lora
