Good morning,

Confession time. I gave up weighing ... period. The scale became an obsession. So far, I think I am okay. As long as the size 4's are nice and loose and my eating pattern stays regular, I am not going to worry. There is enough other stuff to drive me over the edge. This is probably NOT a good example for others.

B - cottage cheese, pineapple, Kashi Go Lean
L - green salad & tuna
D - taking the little ones out tonight. Melanie adores fish so I'll probably share with her. Yes, on very rare occasions I eat fish.
S - apple & peanut butter

Kisses

Hiya sis!! REAL fish,or shrimp?? LOL! I have to take those darn steroids at times,so weigh I do. One of the reasons is because my legs swell alot when I have to use them, the other reason is because I ran from the reality of the scale for years,as I got more and more large.
I will NEVER be a scale slave,I do my best, and let's face it,we know when we are playing with our lifestyle,or not.
I hope you enjoyed your evening,I know you did...smile.
It hurts when my legs swell, then I take a pee pee pill,I do not take them everyday, only as needed.
I often wonder had I been born in Africa,or another 3rd world country, how long I would have lived,or if the perservatives, and all the other junk we are fed causes a lot of the problems.
-Love ya girl, thank you for always being there for me.

Good morning Linda....TGIF!!!!!!!

Having a hard morning....Kyleigh won't go to school. She was fine until we got to the school and she asked for her cell phone. It has been taken away for awhile now. I told her she would have gotten it back next weekend but her behavior this week means another couple of weeks. She got mad and wouldn't get out of the car. I made her get out but she just walked home. She went to the neighbors and told her she was having racing thoughts and was suicidal and I wouldn't let her in the house. All a lie! I explained things to the lady and she sent Kyleigh home. Kyleigh is being a little b#@*&!! She is in bed now...I told her no TV and no computer for the rest of the day. How my daughter deals with this daily is beyond me!! When I met with Ky's psychiatrist Wednesday he told her flat out that the way she is acting is more a behavior then an illness. She is choosing these behaviors. On and on the story goes!! Ky sees her therapist tomorrow morning. I will have plenty to tell him myself.

Hope your day is a good one...thanks for letting me vent!!

B-Boost High protein Drink
L-Chicken and salad
D-???

Snacks protein and fruit.

Love you much...hugs...Boo ...to you!!

Oh Connie, I feel so bad for you. My now 18 year old grandson started this exact kind of behavior at about age 14. It was very serious for a couple of years. It gets to a point where you don't know if you're being manipulated by the self destructive language or if the little ****s are serious. It can drive you absoutely crazy trying to deal with it. My grandson even became very physically abusive to his mother. He is no longer suicidal nor is he abusive to his mother but he still doesn't make very good choices for his life sometimes. I live with the hope that it is simply immaturity run amouk and things will get better. I love him dearly and do not want to see him ruin his life. I'm sure you feel the same about Kyleigh. My daughter is a strong person and loves her son very much and I think the most important thing she did during that period of time was not let him intimiate her.  She stood up to him and did what she had to do without making idle threats. That included having the police pick him up and take him to the hospital a couple of times. It killed her to do it but she didn't let him know that. Well, on and on I could go, but it sounds like you are doing the right thing and if your daughter is having her see a psychiatrist that is good too. Keep me posted on how she is doing.  Hugs to you and your family.

Thank you Barbara.....we do have struggles with these children sometimes. Life doesn't have to be this hard. Why Kyleigh continues with this behavior when she knows she is doing wrong is  so frustrating. She keeps apologizing but I am not giving into her...still no TV, computer or phone for the rest of the day. Maybe tomorrow too if necessary!! She is  missing her Color Guard Performance tomorrow as she didn't go to school with an excused absence. The school won't let her perform....good for them! She will be at home all day tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing your story with me. I will keep your grandson and your daughter in  my prayers.

Hugs....connie d

Dear dear Connie...your daughter is blessed to have you to take some of the burden away. I hope your granddaughter gets through this soon. I pray it is a stage that will pass, there are no easy answers, and you guys are doing your best and being loving.
Kyleigh has no idea what happens to some girls whose family can not control them.
I will pray for you,I wish I could do more.
God bless you,and special prayers for your daughter. I know Kyleigh is in a lot of mental pain, she is having the puberty from hell.
One thing to remember is that she loves her family, and trusts you that she will not be hurt for her behavior. This may sound strange, but I think you know what I mean.
Stay strong, sweet Connie, and please take care of you.
-Love you.

Thank you sweet Linda....I know you understand. It has been a rough 10 days ...in some situations!!

We don't know how to help Kyleigh anymore then we already are. It is frustrating for all of us. Kyleigh and I will be leaving soon to go see her psycologist. We ( Carrie and social worker)are in the process of getting Kyleigh into another school where she will be going 1/2 days of school and 1/2 days of day treatment. We haven't given up yet although sometimes we want to.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Love and many hugs...Boo...to you!!

Good morning, Linda, our lovely sweetie. I hope that today is great for you. Heck I hope it is great for me too. ha ha

Food went pretty good yesterday so I am going to do the same thing today. If it works why fix it?

B: slim fast shake with milk to thin it out
L: left over chicken soup
D: chicken and steamed veggies
S: probably not one

So.......I am going to wish you a happy day and one full of love and happiness. I am sending love and hugs to you along with prayers. I hope that your day is wonderful and that you spread that beautiful smile all around.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Sister Brenda,I am so proud of you! What a mind set you have. I have made up my mind to do the best I can with whatever I have to deal with it.
I will not be discouraged,I will stay strong.
People like you show me I can do this.
