What's New on Monday for you? (3/16)
We had a great weekend, very busy. I told my co-worker I work two jobs so I can rest. Saturday I worked, from there went to granddaughter's birthday party, then the gym, then home to get changed to go out. A friend has a band and was playing at a Mexican bar and grill. We went out for 3 or 4 hours. Spent $22 total. That was for our supper, which lasted the full time. Mary had quesadilla and I had beef nachos. We both dran****d tea, while everyone around us was getting liquored up. No problem for me, I did not wake up with a headache. The band was so good and had such a good reception by the audience, they got another gig there in 2 weeks. They normally play there once a month any way, but they are packing them in when the perform.
Just go work my nephew is coming into town to visit family on Thursday. And one of my nieces is coming to Texas on April 24. She will be in Houston, may have to drive down there.
Just go word there will definitely be a shift bid for my position at work. Was also told the overnight shift will keep the same hours. I am number one in seniority, so I guess I am safe.
I am sooooooo ready for baseball. Just highly anticipating the envelope I will be getting in the mail shortly with my tickets for this season. Already received my opening day tickets. Have another order coming in for on my birthday. 40 people are going to the Ballpark to celebrate with me.
Well folks, I have babbled on enough. What's new with you?
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
MARYLYN
Hello, family!
I am sitting here at 5 am because I was feeling so exhausted last night, that I went to bed at 9:30 pm...almost unheard of for me!
It's been a crazy month for me. First we keep having issues with our phone line, there's a break somewhere on the next "country block" and with all of the extra rain and various deep freezes, there have been mass disruptions in our buried phone lines.
I have been contracted for some special greeting card illustrations that will be launched in NYC in May so they have to be illustrated by the end of this week.
My Mandala Colourong Books are selling wonderfully and now Im also offering WORKSHOPS to business/corporate levels to assist in reducing employee absenteeism due to stress! So now I'm marketing that and preparing newsletters to the various Chambers of Commerce in the Region.
My training continues, as always, for my Healing Sessions, and that really is satisfying knowing that I am helping people.
Derek slipped stepping off the back of one of his tracker trailers last weekend and as he landed (carrying a fifty pound box of engine parts), his foot slipped in the mud (thanks to all the rain lately) and he twisted his ankle. I took him to the doctor because the entire foot was purple and badly swollen. The doctor said there was alot of damage to the tendons and he has to wear a splint for a while to give some support to the foot and prevent further damage. Xrays have been taken and he is hobbling around. He hasnt snowplowed for a few weeks now..crazy weather.... so he is anxious to get back to his part time BOUNCER job to supplement his income but cannot be standing for ten hours straighter until his foot heals.
Dan, our older son, and his wife Amy, has been forced to buy another vehicle..both their cars are old and literally falling apart, and as gifted as Danny is, theres only so many times that he can resurrect them but also, since he is working long hours in the Avionics R&D lab and is also creating prototype electronics devices for a second company at home, he just doesnt have the time! So they have been here conferring with JB about buying a new vehicle.
On Saturday, after alot of discussion, Danny, Amy & JB went to the local car dealer where we have bought new cars and trucks for the last 30 years and Danny signed for a brand new 2009 Pontiac Torrent Crossover. JB gave Dan all of our GM VISA points since we just bought our new Cadillac and won't be buying a new car now again so soon, so that helped Danny as well. Dan was determined to buy a North American car to support the economy. He takes delivery next week. It's his very first new vehicle and he is excited yet anxious because of the economy.
With all the rain and the deep freezes, we have also been struggling with some frozen drainage hoses under the verandah from the sump pump so that drainage water has to be manually pumped out in a temporary system until the Spring thaw and then they will have to dig up the gound at the foundation wall downstairs and seal some leaks.
JB has just announced that we are going away for two weeks...we havent been away all winter yet as was our custom...the economy and the wild winter we have been enjoying seemed to make staying home rather prudent. But we both have a yearning for green grass and warm weather. But forst I have to complete my artwork beforew we can go.
My cousn in Quebec invited us to come up there for Maple Sugar Time..he is holding Maple Sugar parties, March 28th weekend (my birthday) and April 11th weekend. He lives on the old homestead once owned by my great-great-grandparents and taps the same maple trees but they have four feet of snow so Im thinking..cold and snow and maple syrup? or green grass, palm trees and sunshine? hmmm..decisions! decisions!
I attended a surprise 50th for my dear friend Ginette on Saturday and had a fabulous time meeting and having great discussions with some amazing people! On Sunday, JB & I spent the day at his middle sister's 62nd birthday party. I meet my new grand-nice, Emma Leigh, and my almost-here new great-niece/nephew-to-be due April 14.
In two weeks I will turn 62. An amazing man that I met on Saturday, reminded me that it's only my BODY that is turning 62 but my SPIRIT is endless and timeless. Sometimes I just need these things pointed out to me..maybe tattooed on my brain.
I continue to struggle..to eat properly..I dont get hungry still and sometimes get so busy or so focused on my work that I forget to eat properly. However, I am religiously good about my daily supplements and water. Exercise continues to be my bug-a-boo and I avoid it like crazy. My legs have been very painful this winter and I now have arthritis in both knees so that adds to my reluctance to exercise. There are days when just getting up and down the stairs (we have a side split) or even just sitting for any period of time, becomes a difficult challenge. I guess it's all part of growing...er..mature. *s*
I find it interesting that I can doing healings and help others but I cannot seem to "fix" my own issues. But I never give up...to do so is to stop living and growing.
Goodness! Ive been babbling forever here...please forgive me!

George, sounds like a wonderful weekend for you and Mary. Always busy, aren't you? It's a good thing!
We didn't do any Bella production yesterday, just needed a break. Have to admit, I felt guilty about it, but I'll take care of that today. Planning on doing some stuff here, then go into town to pick up the new labels for the "Balm, Lip Balm" tubes. I wanted to name the lip balm "LaBalmba", but we will probably uses that for something else, maybe the cuticle balm.
Today is fun filled....mopping the floors, maybe getting out the carpet cleaner for the area rug and my favorite....cleaning bathrooms!!!

Anyone who wants to join in on the fun is welcome!

Just another Manic Monday....
I am in St Paul....just got my grandchildren off to school. Time to relax a bit before I start work. It is nice that I can do my job from anywhere. As long as I have my laptop computer and a telephone I am good to go!!
I had a great weekend. Lots of fun. Went to a St Patty Day parade on Saturday. It was in a small town not far from St. Cloud. There were about 3500 people there. The weather was sunny and warm. Had some great Irish Stew!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
Prayers for those in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d
I might have to stay in bed tomorrow.

Yes I am still with Dwayne. He is on his last chance. Anything even close to the events of the last time and he will be kicked to the curb....NO exceptions!!
We have spent days discussing what happened ,why it happened and that it will not happen again.
Dwayne and I really do care deeply for each other. We have so much fun together. My family just loves him. He is worth one more try (my daughters are in total agreement with this decision).
How are things going with you??? Times are tough right now for everyone. Hope things turn around soon. We are all hurting!!
Love ya...hugs...connie d
I cant wait till spring is here to stay, this teaser weather is real nice but then it gets cold again.
have a good day everyone.
