What's New Sunday Edition!
It is Sunday morning March 15, 2009 and I am wondering if that is spring I see peeking around the corner! I certainly hope so as I am ready for some warmer weather. I know around about August as the temps are way up there I'll be looking for fall, but it will seem good to be warm to the bones just for a little bit.
I can't wait to get back into the pool and swim. I wish there was an indoor pool within reasonable driving distance to me. The closest one is in Wilmington which is an hours drive. Oh well, I am hanging in there, just not getting as much exercise as I should.
I wish each of you a wonderful Sunday. God bless you all.
Hugs,
im up early cause i went to bed early so im making coffee right now
im hoping to get out a bit today if bob is willing. im feeling so cooped up since my accident, some days it just stinks
i agree im ready for spring and yes i think i saw it peeking around the corner also. on thursday when i went to PT i saw a bunny rabbit hopping thru my neighbors yard.
have a great day everyone, do something fun
be safe and well, jacki
Good morning, ya'll.
I think Spring hit here a month ago, and then zip, it was gone again. My neighbor had nice yellow daffodills blooming in February!! We have been 80 one week and 20 the next. Such a roller coaster.
I am going back to BLT's today!! For YEARS, Sunday has always been BLT mornings at Grandma's. We suspended the treat while my DH was preparing for his lap band. No point in torturing him with the smell of sizzling bacon, when he can't eat it! But today, we begin again. He will have some crumbled bacon and a poached agg. No L or T or bread. I will have a piece of well chewed crisp bacon. The important part is, the grandsons will be down for their two BLT's each. If one of them had a friend spend the night, they will bring that one, too. Then later our son and DIL will stop by for one, or maybe just bacon, eggs and hash browns. I LOVE cooking for a crowd! They have still been coming down for Sunday breakfast, but they were having less tempting smelling french toast.
Hope everyone has a fantabulous day!
there was a bunny in the yard the other nite and we're seeing robins and red wings and my daffs are trying to poke thru..so there is hope!
we're having some indoor potty issues with both dogs and it is quite upsetting...
i need to go start breakfast and do laundry...get ready for the work week again..boring boring!
hugs and prayers
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

It is sunny and nice here this morning. Bill was out on the patio and he just came in and said that it is nice out this morning. I am going to wear my jacket to church this morning since I have a long sleeved blouse on. I just love spring. It is my favorite season of the year. But it seems like here in IN we are just having 2 seasons a year now. Winter and summer. There might be a tiny bit of spring and fall but not like it was before. I miss them so much too.
Church this morning and then home for the day. We didn't get anything accomplished in the house yesterday. Neither one of us felt like it. I just sat around and then ended up taking a couple of naps too. I was so tired, had a headache and my hernia was bothering me.
I guess I had better get going. I got to start rolling for church. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers and special thoughts. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the spring like weather. If your weather is anything like ours it won't be here for long.
Amanda is going to "babysit" Tom while I go babysit Matthew. She is all cuddled in our bed watching horror movies. Guess you have to be 17 years old to appreciate that type of movie.
Tom has his colonoscopy in the morning so he is on clear liquids today. FUN FUN FUN!
The insurance issues are driving me insane. I received a bill from the Anesthesiologist from one of the 2007 surgeries. BCBS had paid, now they are demanding a repayment. This is messy and confusing. Also VERY $$$$$$$.
Friday I was outside cleaning my patio off. It was nice and warm. I noticed my clematis has a few buds on it. I got all excited too. Yesterday was rainy and cold, kind of miserable.
THEN this morning I woke up to snow. YUP, right now it is snowing. Was big fat flakes but now just the little wet stuff.
BUT... I live in a no snow area. Just south of Seattle. What I want t know is where is this global warming I keep hearing about? I think the cold has just shifted areas not gone away. LOL
This is a good day to stay bundled up at my sewing machine but I was invited out to my granddaughters for dinner today. The three girls are alone for a few days while mom is at a conference and dad is still in Iraq. It will be fun to "hang" with them.

Friday nite I didn't sleep hardly all nite, finally took a tylenol PM around 2 a.m. then I could barely get up at 7:30.....Last nite I went to bed at 10:30 and took the tylenol PM when I went to bed -- I slept like a log. Was ready to get up at 6 and get around for early church and Bible Class.
I've mixed up a big batch of ground round and white meat ground turkey and made stuffed green peppers and also meatballs.....they are baking now and smell pretty darn good! That will take care of quite a few meals this week.
I tried the WW recipe for black bean brownies and it makes a lot.....they are pretty good, but quite soft and a little sticky. Wal Mart has the Betty Crocker low fat brownie mix, then it's just a can of black beans rinsed and drained and a cup of water to blend them in until they smooth....mix all together and bake at 350 for 35 minutes (the recipe said 25-27 min. but they weren't nearly done in that length of time). Don't try to add the brownie mix to your blender container....it won't take it all and then you'll have a mess (like I did!!!)
Pour out the bean mixture into a big bowl and then add the brownie mix.
Well, guess I'll go read for a while. I took the van out after church and clocked the distance I am going to try and walk this afternoon -- 1.6 miles. It's beautiful here and sunny and supposed to get up to 55 +.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Pat R.
