Morning friends and neighbors!

I just can't believe I get to start the thread today Well, I'm not THAT excited, it is still too early for jumping for joy, but I'm pretty happy in my not-enough-coffee-yet fog.

Another busy day improving the beauty of Little Rock one head at a time. I've decided to take Tuesday off next week, just 'cause I can!  A three day weekend followed by only three days at work is most welcome. Tess and I have decided to take Sunday off from Saint Bella as well, so I just don't know what to do with myself.

Hope you all have a marvy day/weekend. I'm off to refill my

love and hugs to all

Susan

Today is our kickoff support group meeting at 10am at the hospital and I am very excited.  I know for sure we are getting a few folks coming and that is always encouraging.  After that is errands, pay bills and cleaning.  It's supposed to be a great, sunny day!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Best of luck to your new group, Paula. Some months we have a full house, sometimes a handful, but it's always great to get together with my group.

Have a great day!

It is sunny but cold here. There are two robins setting up housekeeping in the crabapple tree. Finally, a sign of Spring. Poor birds are going to freeze their tail feathers.

I have some nasty body issues going on. While getting dressed I am POSITIVE my clothes won't fit. For several minutes I look in the closet, feeling anxious, and unable to select an outfit. No weight gain, the clothes fit just fine, just feeling fat.

Good morning ya'll.

It's a schmutzy morning here.  You know, not really raining, just misting, and dreary.  It's gonna be this way for the next 4 days.  A great week for hot chocolate and a good mystery novel!

I have no place to go and nothing to do all weekend.

My DH is on to 'soft foods' in his lap band journey.  He will be having some nice moist fish today, and some cottage cheese.  He is really ready to begin 'chewing'.  Remember those days?

I hope everyone has a fantabulous day!

any computer whizes here??? for some unknown reason this morning when i got onto OH Editor #1 wont work so i dont have the cute little things to put into my posts...it did this once before dont remember what i did then to get it back......

suppose to be 60 and sunny here today...will get some garden work done....have seeds ready to plant , of course it is too early for that lol but i sure am ready.. i have tomatos , cabbage, squash, broc., brussel sprouts etc up in the green house waiting for the garden too. they are all getting a good nice setting out size already and they have at least a month to go...that is about all of my life now, getting flower beds and garden ready for planting... all my daffodills are in full bloom....forsythia and horthorn are in bloom...the red bud trees have huge buds and getting that first blush of pinkish color the dogwood are popping buds as are all the trees. you can see the first bit of green on them...the grass is green and starting to grow.. we are mostly cleaned up from the ice storm...have all the wood picked up and in a certain area waiting for us to get energetic and bust it up into firewood for the fire pit and barbque....so it is general spring time work and i love it...suppose to be back into the 70s next week yea!!!!!

Good morning, Susan and my other OFF family. It is nice to see you start the thread this morning. You must have been one of the earliest risers this morning, Susan. I am a late riser today. I slept in until 8:30. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock. I am still so tired. A nap will be on the schedule today I do believe. ha ha

I am hoping to rearrange the furniture here in the living room. I am so tired of the way it is looking. I have in my mind just what I want and so I am hoping that it works out. This is a chore that Bill hates but that is just to bad. I help with the furniture moving but let's face facts......he does the most of it.

I got Carolyn into the eye doctor yesterday and she was out fast. I was really surprised so I got to come home for about an hour before leaving to go get Carol. It was nice coming home and sitting for an hour just reading my book. It was restful to me.

Carol had to go to the hospital and be hooked up to the baby monitor. We ended up being there for almost 5 hours. The baby wasn't moving a lot and neither was he kicking much. His heart rate was up a lot too. Finally they came in and said one more kick and we could go and he wouldn't do it. The nurse shook Carol several times and nothing. I was kind of concerned to say the least. Finally they came in and took her for an ultrasound. She had one Monday and then yesterday. Every Monday she is getting one now. It came back alright. Finally they asked her if she is feeling the contractions and she said obviously not since she didn't know she was having them. Then, bless her heart, she said that she had never had them before and she probably wouldn't know if she did have them. The nurse and I looked at her and said "You will know!". So now I am wondering if the baby is getting ready to come or if her blood sugar dropped enough and he just got tired.
I am worried now but I would never tell them that. They worry enough by themselves. The due date has been moved to the 15th of April and he is about 6 pounds already.

I think I need to have a chat with Shawn and Carol about the baby's name. They want to name him Caden and she wants to spell it Kayden. I think that is the girl form if you ask me. If not it should be. He would grow up just singing "A Boy Named Sue" if you ask me. But the question is how do I approach this subject and not sound like a nosy MIL?

I better go. I am going to be getting breakfast since I am hungry now. You all have a wonderful day and I am sending love and hugs to all. Don't forget to smile and you are all in my prayers.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Aloha dear Brenda....You are such a good mama!! Your baby's baby is almost ready to pop out. And at six lbs. he is fully formed and ready to say "Hello life!" Just last week I tested a baby who was 5lbs. 2 oz. and a tiny little nugget. He passed the hearing test with flying colors and was already sucking vigorously all on his own....amazing.

Have fun with each and every step along the way of this precious new life. THanks for sharing your joy with us.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Brenda - about the baby's name ... just tell them to be sure to consider all angles before they name him, such as how other kids might find a nickname and tease him, or people might think they have a girl, not a boy. I agree Kayden does look more feminine in writing but these days, it seems if the parents can put a twist on the name it's what they like. I like the name Caden (or Kayden).  It's way better than Apple or some of those other oddball names the celebrities pick.  I once saw an article in the Arizona Republic newspaper that showed a picture of a family with 4 boys. They named them Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Wolfman, no joke. Isn't that pathetic?

Anyway, the weather here in Omaha is going to be beautiful for the next 7 days. This weekend up in the 60's and Monday and Tuesday low 70's. So people east of us who are having cold weather, be patient, warmer weather is on the way.

Well folks, I have to get a handle on this terrible eating pattern I've fallen in to. Scale is up another 2 pounds.  Pray for me. I'm scared I will not be able to get it under control and end up being one of those statistics on the negative side of wls.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Nothing planned for today, but tomorrow I'm going to a horse show in Lincoln with my dau, son and his family. It will be fun with the kids.
