I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Okay, I'll rise but I refuse to shine. Old dog got me up at 4:30, managed to get him to go back to bed until 5:15 and finally said the heck with it and got up. It's okay, I can spend some time here with all of you.
It's the second month in a row with a Friday the 13th, and I understand there's another one next month too. Now, in my house it has a different meaning for us than most people. My son and his wife are into tattooing in a big way, much to my dismay. Nothing I can do but accept it and move on. Anyway, in the tattoo culture Friday the 13 is a lucky day, and it makes it even luckier if you get a number 13 added to your collection. So, on Sunday when they come over they both will be sporting new ink somewhere on their bodies. Guess I dread this day more for that than I ever worried about some unlucky thing happening to me!
Had our support group meeting last night and I have a problem child. He's about 60-ish and started at 400+ lbs in November. Two weeks after his surgery he bragged at Dec's meeting that he had had biscuts and gravy for breakfast. Last month he told me how he "eats just until he gets full" (what the heck???), and last night said he's found the perfect lunch deal; Western Sizzlin' 6 oz steak w/baked potato. When asked how much of it he eats, he said his dog gets some of it. He's only lost 72 lbs since November, which, for a man his size is what, 66% of what he could have lost if he was compliant? His wife is beside herself because he won't do what he's supposed to do, and he's proud of himself for losing 2-3 lbs a week. Now granted, it's better than what he would have done without surgery, but he's soooooooooooo far afield from his rules that I really fear for what he's doing to his new pouch. I actually e-mailed his surgeon's nurse and tattled on him. Shame on me for sticking my nose into it, but I worry about what he's doing.
Okay....thanks for letting me rant for a minute. Hope you all have a great weekend. I still have a day to go before mine comes, so you all think of me while you're relaxing, ok?
Margo, hate those pins/password/clues things....a necessary pain in the tushy

Susan
Susan, this is the last Friday the 13th in this year. The days of February and March were exactly the same this year for some reason or another.
I hadn't heard that about the tattoos so I am wondering if my niece has. She has about 14 of them too. I said something to her when she started getting them. She flared up and said that it is her life and body and she will do what she wants. I told her the only bit of advice that I have for her is to watch where she puts them because when she gets older things have a tendency to go south. ha ha
I have a tattoo though. It is a cross with a red rose on the center in memory of my parents and at the top three ends there are red rose buds in memory of my three children. And of course we know what the cross is for. It is on the top of my left arm a couple of inches up from my wrist. I have had a lot of compliments on it. That is the extent of that but Bill has 4. He has a eagle on the top of one arm. A heart with our names on the other, a cross with Mom on it where my cross is and 2 wolves with the noon behind them on the side of his legs. He loves them and we get them free since our nephew does them.
