Sorry I haven't been around lately

Or maybe nobody noticed. HA!
I was thinking this morning, I haven't even read anything on OH for about a week.
I went to the Dr. last week because my lower back was hurting and also for the last few months my left hip, thigh area has been hurting.  The lower back is feeling better, but he says I have bursitis in the hip, thigh area.  He wants me to go have therapy but I can't get in till next week. Pain will probably be gone by then.  But probably not since I have had it a couple months.
I had my yearly bloodwork for WLS.  They said everything was fine, but my vitamin D was a little low, so I need to increase that.
We got a call at work today and a young woman who use to work with us died today.  I think she was probably in her 30's.  They said she had surgery on her tailbone on Friday and she was having trouble breathing. So not really sure what happened.  Kind of sounds like a blood clot or something. I guess we will find out more tomorrow.
She was a really nice girl, she transferred to another state agency and hadn't been at her new job but a few months.  I guess you cannot take life for granted.
Not much else going on with me.  We had some really nice warm days and then it turned cold again.  Where are you spring?
Take care and have a good Friday!

Mickey

Mickey,

Bursitis HURTS!! Feel better soon.

My surgeon has been pushing Vitamin D on a regular basis. We get few days of sunshine here and he feels even non WLS people could use more.

It is always good to hear from you.

good to see you , mickey!
sorry about your ouchies!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

It is so good to hear from you, Mickey. We missed you but we are happy that you are back.

I am sorry for the problems you have been having and I hope that the therapy will help you. It is a shame that you have to wait.

Sorry to hear about your co worker too. I guess it just tells us that life is so uncertain and you just have to do as much as you can since you never know what is going to happen.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Sorry you're hurting ... back problems are a pain. Never had hip bursitis, but had it in the knee (the same one that I had the replacement on).

A lot of docs are adding Vit D to the regimen; mine did last year, so now I have a prenatal, vit C, iron, Vit B12 and Vit D. Plus the calcium, which has Vit D in it, too. This is a recent discovery. Most people need more of it ... not only aids in bones but in colon health, I believe (but don't quote me on that).

Hang in there, spring is coming (we had a taste of it, too, and now it's cold again).
