Its Thursday and Ill start the Thread today march 12,th 2009
Went to church last evening and the choir did very well.
Managed to stay for handbell practice and came home and crashed.....the coughing is wearing me out. The doc. wasn't in the office yesterday and a tech did the echo, so I wasn't able to get any medicine.....taking Cold-eze
(it has zinc in it) and drinking lots of hot tea and other fluids....about all I can do (and rest a lot). Had a miserable nite trying to sleep so I didn't get up until almost 8 a.m. this morning.....that's way late for me.
Carla, I'm glad you are doing so well......but take it a little easy and don't over do....you just had major surgery again girl!
It's very cold here this morning with just a trace of snow here and there.....at least the wind isn't blowing.
We had wind chills in the single digits yesterday.
Well, I'm off to have some yogurt and kashi for breakfast.....have a blessed day all.

Done! Your Ticker:
You have been through so much the last few months.
Eileen, I used to clean the office my DH worked in. It was amazing how many people couldn't find the trash. I had to crawl on the floor to pick up their trash! You are right , emptying your trash is a minor thing to keep your security.
George, I am envious of your being able to watch your grandson play baseball. I have 15 grandaughters & 2 grandsons. None of them interested in baseball. I also look foreward to the season.
I have been busy making Raggety Ann dolls. I have 7 I am working on. I like to sew, but I'm not that great at it. At least I'm trying.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Nan
It's 62 here this morning and not expected to get much warmer. Yesterday's 83 was much nicer! We may get some rain and we sure need it. No definite plans for the weekend yet, waiting to see what the cardiologist says Friday. I'm feeling better, not great, but better. I actually had a spurt of energy yesterday afternoon. My blood pressure and pulse are rising a little. I made my mammogram appt yesterday - got George off my butt!
George, congrats to Eddie on a great game. Our Ethan 5 1/2 loves sports - soccer, basketball, football, and baseball. We've been to several of his games, especially baseball. He can throw and hit really well, but his pitching leaves much to be desired - hey, he's only 5 1/2! Our other grandson, Gabe, isn't as much into sports. He will play ball with Ethan, George and me when we're together, but he's the more scholarly type. He has to take everything apart to see how it works.
Better get back to work.
Debbie

Carla, it's so good to see you're feeling so good, but please don't overdo it by washing cars!!! Gotta take care of yourself
Thankfully there isn't much going on today. I'm doing the usual laundry and cleaning but not much else. The weather here stinks today....80 on Tuesday, 37 today. We have support group tonight but the head of the department might cancel it due to the nastyness out there. So many drive an hour or more, don't want to put anyone in danger by driving in it.
It seems silly to those in much colder climates but Central AR doesn't have the equipment for dealing with it, so most folks just stay in.
Ok, boys and girls, gonna go jump in the shower and get ready to face the day. You all have a good one!
Susan
Carla...it is great seeing you post this morning!!
Pat R...hope you are feeling better soon.
Eileen....I would empty everyones trash if it meant keeping my job and I know you would too.
Linda S.....you keep hanging on girlfriend!!
Nothing much happening here. My cleaning fairy is doing her magic. I wor****il 1:00PM. Then I need to pack and head on down to my daughters for the night.
I will check in again later. Need to get back to work for now.
Special prayers to those in need. Have a happy day!
Love and hugs to all......connie d
Carla, I am so glad that you are feeling better but remember to take it easy. It does take time to heal.
I am here and it is in the morning. I got on here so late yesterday that I couldn't believe it. It was a hectic day......and not one that is very good either. I want to thank you, Margo, for the special message. I appreciated it a lot.
I am still trying to wrap my brain around that fact that Lewis is gone. I can just feel my heart breaking for him. How he must have felt so totally alone to do something like this. For the past several years he was into drinking very heavy and I think that might have had something to do with it also. He tried AA and just didn't stick with it. I prayed so hard for him to stick to it but I guess there was other plans for his life. I just wished that he had gotten some kind of help from someone or someplace and maybe he might still be here and no one would have to go through all of this. In the meantime I am going to keep working on coming to realize this not a bad dream and it is really happening.
Today I have to get my great niece from school again. Then she wants to go to the resale shop and look around. It has been a while since she has been there so I am sure that it is going to take her a loooong time to look at just about everything in the store. ha ha Then of course I have to take my sister to the drug store. Tomorrow I have to take her to the ophthalmologist and then I have to take Carol my DIL to the ob. I have driven to Chesterton everyday this week to take my sister somewhere. I just can't keep up with that stuff. I just wish that my niece Autumn would make more of an effort to get a car since her accident.
I better get moving and get some things done around here. I am not in the mood to do any of that stuff either. I think it is because I am so tired from all the running. I am suppose to rest some during the day and there is none of that for this week. I hope that next week is better. I have to get some tests for myself done and I think that next week might be the time to do them.
I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers and special thoughts are going out for all. Have a wonderful day and remember to smile pretty.
I got the nicest message from a gal on OH today, I had visited her when she was in town for her surgery, she said it meant so much to her would I mind talking to a friend of hers who is having a terrible time deciding if she wants to go through with her RNY.
We are having a pot luck at work tomorrow for a gal who is leaving, I am making a big pot of corned beef, cabbage, carrots ans onions. yum yum. Ihave been in the mood for it , but one plate once a year is enough so now I can make it and have people to share it with me. It is bitter cold today but suppose to strt warmng up tomorrow, I Am So READY for warm weather and getting my hands in the dirt. Have a great day,,Blessings

I so now what you mean about your morning routine being disrupted. I always, and I mean ALWAYS get to work at least 15 minutes early so I can put everything where it needs to be, say my "hi's" to the other girls and get my station ready. While I appreciate clients being early rather than late, for the first one of the day to come in and sit in my chair while I do my thing just sets me off.....and sets the tone for the whole day.
The longer I live the more I realize how OCD I am...lol
Enjoy your corned beef. We'll have ours on Tuesday and eat it for the rest of the week
Susan
