What we are eating, and what's eating us. Thursday.
Howdy all,
I'm a little down today...work related stuff. Some folks here are willing to sacrifice anyone, including me, to keep their overtime from being cut. The field personnel are suggesting to management that I go half-time but they don't have a clue about what I do or why. So now I feel pressure to prove my worth. I really dislike the politics here.
So I'm looking to you to help me maintain a good attitude and spiritual outlook. We really do enjoy many blessings and I count you all high up on the list.
Love, light and laughter, CV Linda
B coffee/protein bar
L chili/clementines
D turkey meatballs in marinara sauce (I think) and an artichoke with lite mayo
Snacks peanuts, cheese stick

Hi Linda...
So sorry to hear about your work situation. That really sucks! I also hate politics like that. Sometimes no matter how hard you try to avoid it, it comes after you anyway. Things will work out for the best, you gotta believe that. I know that's what always gets me through. Try not to worry. (((HUGS)))
Keep smiling!

Linda,
Making it to work is good. At least for today.
I was supposed to have lunch with a friend today, but she cancelled out on me, so I took myself out to lunch anyway. I missed my friend's companionship and conversation, but it was nice to treat myself. While in the mood for treats, I stopped at a local salon/spa/tanning place to check out their services. I had been thinking that I need a facial or a body wrap or something to perk me up (I'm suffering from the mid-winter blues), but this place did not smell right. A statement like that reminds of me my ex MIL, whose nose was so famously sensitive that I was terrified to have her visit my home, but I honestly don't think I could relax in a place that smells funny. I don't know what it was - nothing familiar like hair perm chemicals, or mold - just not good. I live with 7 dogs and 1 cat, so I'm not real fussy about smells. Weird.
B: banana peanut butter protein shake
S: cheese stick
L: spinach salad w/ grilled shrimp & roasted red peppers
S: the rest of the spinach salad
D: coconut-ginger chicken, Asian cucumber salad
S: peanut butter cookie
