The wind is blowing fiercely here in southern lower Michigan this morning and it's 30 degrees and falling....guess winter is still around for a while yet.

I think I have bronchitis, tightness in chest and coughing.  I have a dr. appt this afternoon so will have him check it out.....he's doing an echo-cardiogram (in his office - usually have it done at the hospital)...just making sure the old ticker is working good.

I'm working this morning, then dr. appt, then hopefully rest for a few hours....off to church at 6:30 so choir can practice before service.  After service have hand bell practice and I honestly don't know if I can do that today cause I'm feeling pretty punk....we'll see.

Otherwise glad it's hump day and hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Margo and all,

I told Brenda on the way to work this morning that Mother Nature needs to be fired.  Yesterday it was beautiful and we worked in the yard trimming trees with no coats on...this morning, back in the winter coat.  It's just not right!

Going to be busy at work in the next few days.  We're about to receive 67 laptops so I have to inventory all the pieces and distribute them.  Should make some people happy, at least.  It won't be long and we'll be getting over 100 flat screen monitors so that's another big project to look forward to.

Last night I received a call from the Intern Pastor.  The Pastor will be out of town so he's giving the sermon this Sunday.    He asked if I would read the scriptures.  Of course, I said yes.  I'm honored that he asked me.  We're so new and actually not even members yet since we just put in our applications last week.  I think the Men's Retreat has really helped get connected more.  During our free time on Saturday, the Associate Pastor invited me to go on a nature walk with him and another guy and it was awesome.  I really got to know them both much better and vice versa.

Busy weekend coming up.  We're going to meet some old co-workers from Dayton in Richmond, Indiana for dinner Saturday afternoon.  Some of our friends who moved here are also going.  It's about half way for both groups.  Then we have to get home so we can go to the Home Show to talk to some kitchen remodelers.  We want to get moving on that project.  Sunday we have the bowling fundraiser and dinner.  Sometime during the weekend I have to move all the furniture away from the windows because our new windows are being installed starting on Monday.

Seems like my life is extra hectic lately, but in the positive way.  Things are going so well.  I got a promotion in January and next week I get a big raise too.  Susan commented that I seemed to be so happy and she's so right.  It's a nice change!

Laureen is in my constant thoughts and prayers to get through her employment crisis.  I think of her and Dillinger all the time and pray for the best.

Pat, hope you are feeling better soon.

Brotherly hugs to all,

Floyd

Well it is Wednesday, isn't it?

I spent most of the morning 'deep cleaning'.  The usual dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen.  But also baseboards, windowsills, door frames, tops of fridges and freezer, floors of closets, laundry room, etc.

Today the 'bug man' comes.  Our yearly termite inspection and he goes everywhere!  Don't want him to think we are slobs!!

Our last day in the 80's for awhile.  The weatherman says the party is over.  Rain and cold on the way.

My DH will be starting soft foods tomorrow and he keeps listing things he wants to add to his diet.  If we add them all, he'll be eating every 5 minutes.  But I DO remember this week in my post-op journey.  You are just SOOO glad to be done with liquids!

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Margo and everyone......

Margo..I am still hoping to see your smiling face and sassy hairdo!! Have a good day my friend!!

Linda S....can I come live with you??? I hate the cold weather!!

My arthritis and fibromyalgia is just awful today. I am in so much pain. I finally gave in and took a Vicodin and a Flexeral. I am buzzing along hoping for the pain to let up!!
The weather changes and bitter cold is causing so much pain. One day it is in the 40s and the next we have wind chills of -28 degrees. No wonder I hurt!!  At least we didn't get the 10 inches of snow that was forecasted...I think we got about 3 instead.

I need to get back to work. Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Special prayers to those in need..... especially Carla, Pat, Laureen and Linda S.

Love  and ((hugs))   connie d

Connie,

I understand about the pain ... I had a horrible day yesterday; today it's a little better but needed all my resources yesterday (read: vicodin, biofreeze and icyhot PM) to get through the day and then get to sleep. I was in some horrible pain all day. Knee is still swollen today ... actually both legs are swollen. Take it easy on yourself.

Keep your fingers & toes crossed today for me, I might just have a job!! YEAH!!
I should no today or tomorrow. I went & talked to the district supervisor of Circle K,
where I worked before & he is trying to find out if I am on rehire status or not. He seems to think I am. So not the greatest job, but, a job if I can go back to them.
Not much else happening in these parts.

Good morning Margo and Friends.

I don't feel bad, just not right.  Yes, I'm taking my vitamins - well, maybe not every day, but most days.  I woke up Monday morning with a burst blood vessel in my right eye and a headache - went to work anyway.  Once here, I started with a tingly sensation on the right side of my face.  Coworkers INSISTED I get to the doctor.  Blood pressure still low, and now pulse is also extremely low, like 42.  The doc said it should be at least 60.  He wants me to see a cardiologist ASAP.  He was not at all concerned about my eye.  I was in the office almost 3 hours for him to check and recheck and recheck my pulse and bp.  Monday night at wls support group meeting, the nurse was a no show, and the dietician couldn't shed any light on the situation.  The other members were baffled also.  The PCP's referral desk called to say they made an appt with the cardiologist for me Fri. @ 2:30.  This morning my bp was 107/51 and pulse 56.  Better, but still low.  You'd think the worry alone would drive it up LOL!  So, now that I have the cardio appt., George is on my butt to make an appt for my mammogram - haven't had one since Nov. 07.  See, he's feeling better, he's nagging me!

'nough complaining about me, hope everybody else is well!

HUGS, Debbie
