IT'S MONDAY!!! What's new with you????

Good morning, George and all. I hope that everyone has a happy Monday.

It is cold here this morning. It is a far way from the what we had the last few days. Yesterday was a bit colder but this morning it is like 32* so it is cold to me. We had tornado warnings yesterday too. The sirens went off but nothing happened. It does seem early to me too so it seems to me that we are in for a spring of tornado sirens. I hate this time of year. You never know what is going to happen. But if you take one warning and blow it off it could be the one that shouldn't be blown off. We have tornadoes but others have their own problems such as hurricanes and earthquakes and such. I guess that old commercial is true and we shouldn't mess with Mother Nature. We have had so much rain the last few days everything is flooded. There is water across the streets and the fields are all flooded right along with people's yards. Some of them can't even get to their mailboxes without getting in their cars to drive to them. There is no sun today but they have it in Chicago. Boy! Must be nice to see the sun. We saw it for a few minutes yesterday and that is all since Saturday.

I went and put my application in at Goodwill and the position is for a grader. You go through the clothes that have been donated and grade them on how good they are. I guess that is something that I could do. I told the girl that I know my clothes. I never did before but I have learned a lot about clothes through Goodwill the past year and a half. That is where I buy most of my clothes. I am not going to allow myself to think one way or another on feelings on the applications since they seem to be wrong. Maybe I should say if the thing feels positive I should go negative. That seems like the way it goes.

I have to take my sister to get her mammogram this afternoon. I guess there is a couple of other places that she wants to go to also. Who knows? I just take her where she wants to go and I keep my mouth shut. I should maybe get a job as a chauffeur. That is something I seem to be good at. At least where some family members are concerned.

I better get going. I have some things to do before getting ready to take Carolyn around. I hope that everyone has a great day and don't forget to smile. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers and special thoughts to those who want them.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi George and my OFF family:

Yes, I too am excited about opening day. I'm taking the week of Easter off to sit at home and watch baseball (it's my birthday week, or the week after my birthday). Anyway, yesterday I spen****ching the World Baseball Classic games. Some exciting games, some blowouts however. Cuba is pretty awesome to watch but South Africa was no match for them. The U.S. creamed Venezuela. And the Aussies upset Mexico, which was kind of interesting. So now the U.S. is into Round 2. Oh, and the Dominican Republic won, too, after losing their first game. It was fun to watch some of these games. I enjoyed it.

I am freezing this morning. I have on a long winter nightgown, my long robe and a sherpa jacket and I'm still cold. It's 33 degrees out but at least the sun came out finally. It wasn't out earlier, so I slept late ... but then I was up late watching baseball.

No big plans for this morning. Have to get back on the bike; didn't exercise yesterday other than the stuff I do in bed at night before I go to sleep. I did get some of Easter stuff up and made some of the rollups (although they were chicken and ham rollups instead of turkey ... they'll still be good. If anyone hasn't had these, it's cream cheese, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, chives, put into food processor, then spread on deli meat, roll up and cut into thirds. It's really good and good for a quick snack.)

Got a call this morning from my ortho doc's nurse; she's got the letter from him for my insurer stating that I was homebound and it was medically necessary for me to have in-home PT. I was talking to my friend Mary Kay yesterday (she used to work at the newspaper too) and she urged me to fight this also. So on I fight.

Well, I need to get exercising again. Have a good day.

George ~ you are in a positive mood today (as always) The last time I bowled, many moons ago, I almost maimed the people sitting behind me because the ball went flying in the opposite direction. Can you tell that my athletic abilities are ZERO !!

On Wednesday I am going to be interviewed for an article about Bariatric support groups. That is very exciting.

The thought of baseball season opening makes me sad. I live 2 blocks from where the College World Series is held and even with the added traffic. I just love to see it come around every June. It is also the statium where the Kansas City Royals ..what do you call it? field team? second string? has their games. This will be the last year they are building a  new Statium down town..I , and most of South Omaha are just broken hearted.
The new boss has now st rted to stick her nose into other coordinators business, she wants teh IT person to change the name of something that isn't even under out department.. oh this will get interesting.
I am finally over being sick, I was miserable a full 5 days, doc gave me an antibiptic because my immune system..crap.. boss at me..see you later
