Good morning all.  Great to be at work and resting.

FOUR WEEKS UNTIL

OPENING DAY!!!

Another busy day in Georgeland.  Went to Sunday School and church.  Then we went bowling for the first time in 5 or 6 years for me.  It was the first time in 12 years for Mary.  She bowled one game, a 128.  I had a 144, 158 and 156. We are so serious about starting to bowl again that we bought bowling shoes today.

I am already filling up my next weekend.  One of these weekends I am just going to sleep in.  But then I may not wake up.

Next Saturday I have work, a granddaughter's birthday party, and then going to see a friend's band.

So what's going on in your world today?

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

nothing

work

last nite, this area was under tornado warnings- a sighting about 30 miles from here along I75---it's early in the season for that here- that bothers me.....
it was 64* last nite and it's 34* this morning...and i'm in summer jammies- took brody out at 6 and brrrrrr--very strong winds this morning....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good Morning George and all,

I had the best weekend ever.  I spent it at a YMCA Camp on a Men's Retreat with about 100 men.  There were 7 others from our church, so I met a lot of new guys.  It was fantastic and so inspirational.  I feel as if my head is still in the clouds.

I have a 3 hour meeting this morning on Communications Strategy.  Sounds like a good time to get a nap.  Other than that, it's an easy day because my boss is on vacation today.

Tonight I have a meeting at church.  About a month ago, we were asked to be on the Care and Fellowship Committee.  Brenda and I love setting up events so this committee is perfect.  Last night, I got an email asking me to be on the Property Committee.  Unfortunately the committee meetings are at the same time, so I don't see how I can be on two different committees so I had to decline.

I haven't been bowling in years, George, but I will be next weekend.  Next Sunday, our Indiana forum is having a bowling fund raiser for the family that lost their 5 year old in a car accident.  There's over 130 people going to attend.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Gee, George, could you work up a little excitement over opening day???  LOL

Love to hear you're bowling again. Pretty decent scores for not doing it for so long. My son actually took bowling as a PE class in college. Maybe we should dust off our shoes one of these days.

Floyd, you are an inspriation.  You sound so happy today

Margo.....DUCK!!!  Even 30 miles away is too close for a tornado in my book. We had one go through our area last year that was about 10 miles away. Pretty scary stuff. It's getting to be that time of the year here, so our "hidey hole" is all cleared out and ready. It's actually a closet in the middle of the house, away from all windows and big enough for the four of us (Gary, me and the two dogs).

Today I'm catching up on what didn't get done around the house yesterday during the Bella Blitz. We fragranced 6 different gallons of lotion and got them labeled and bottled, made MASS quantities of lip scrub and salt scrub, now all we have to do is dish out what we're going to bottle and fragrance just that. This whole process is finally getting streamlined enough that I'm hoping to take next Sunday off. Yeah, like that's going to happen!!

Work is crazy again this week. I'll be  away from home every single night starting tomorrow. Three nights late at work and then support group on Thursday. Whew....so glad to have the energy to do all this!

Ok.....I HATE  the time change!!!!!!!!!!!  Gary's been up since 3:00( really 2:00) and I got up at 4:30. That actual time I don't even want to think about. It would be nice if there was a nap in today's forcast, but unfortunately, no.

Gotta run and get the breakfast and lunch thing going. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Susan

Good Morning George & OFFr's,

I am up and today I am not feeling very hopeful, after checking out job postings yesterday the reality of the situation is even worse than I already anticipated, but I guess this is where I have to start making plans for my days, like getting back into the gym and such other things.  I have so many projects that will keep me busy, but with the house stuff still lingering, I am not ready to begin any of those projects.  My son, however well meaning he is, did not make me feel any better yesterday when he said things to me that were "committee" kind of thoughts, in other words, negative.  This too shall pass, but to be honest, right now I am feeling rather stuck in a situation where I have no control, I shall turn this around to my advantage. . .

Plan for today is once my fedex boxes arrive, get out to the gym and then go through closets and drawers and purge of things I will not be moving into my new space once it is completed.

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs, prayers and well, I'm working on the positive thoughts part of things, Laureen

I was on a bowling league in high school.  My DH and I were one a couples league in AK. Had my own pink ball and matching shoes! Then my back and knees said NO WAY.  After I lost 90 pounds I tried it again, but still can't do it.  Now I have to settle for Wii bowling.

Today we are waiting for a plumber!!  Our son put new low flow toilets in our bathrooms yesterday.  The master bathroom had a broken valve in the pipe coming from the wall, where you hook on the flex hose to the toilet.  Anyway, we knew when we moved in that it was bad, and you can't turn the water off to that toilet.  Our son was pretty sure he could get the old valve thingy off and put on a new one.  But NOPE!!!  The toilet is in, but we need a plumber to probably cut off the valve thingy (our son seems to think some idiot welded it on there).

Supposed to be 80 today!!

Everyone have a fantabulous day.

Good Morning George and everyone....

George....you sure are a avid baseball fan....it shows!!
As for bowling....not my cup of tea but am glad you and Mary enjoy it so much. Have fun!!

Karen...I am so sorry I missed your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday!! You are a treasure!!

Linda S......sorry to hear you have been falling again. I swear I am sending you a case of bubble wrap....we need to keep you safe!!  Love you sweetie!!!

It will be a busy work week...I need to cram everything into 3 days as I will be going to my daughter Carrie's Thursday. I will be watching my grandchildren for 10 days while she and her fiance' are in Aruba!! That should be interesting. Hope Kyleigh has a good week while I am there!!

Got some bad news...just what I need. My closest and dearest sister(Marn) found out Friday she has thyroid cancer. She is on her way to Rochester/Mayo Clinic right now. Please say a prayer or two for her. She has been through so much. She lost her husband. He died in his sleep a few years ago. She also lost her youngest daughter to brain cancer about 5 years ago.I am so worried about her.

Hope everyone has a good day. I will check in with everyone again later. Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Thank you Jean for putting my sister Marn on your prayer list. We really appreciate that. I know she will be okay. It is just going thru it all that is so scary.

My brother had this 2 years ago. He is doing good now. Then there is our dear Carla K....I am happy she is doing well too.

Hugs....connie d
