What's New with You this Sunday morning?
Annette, I think I'd be heading to the corner of the room when the fur begins to fly. The female, human fur that is. Bless your heart and hoping that you can handle this new roommate. You can always have her stay in the room with the litter box and all of the cats! Perhaps, if you're lucky, she'll be allergic to cat hair!!

Hi Karen and my OFF family:
Wow, Karen, I wouldn't have guessed you were 60 ... thought you were closer to 50. You are very young-looking ... same for Janet. You guys have more get-up-and-go than I do. I feel like I'm 70 some days. Just have no energy. Maybe it's because work is so damn depressing. I love my job, but it's hard to get excited when the newspaper industry is tanking. Lots of people are making mistakes they didn't used to make because they just don't care anymore. It's hard to see. So many people are leaving this year. It's like every month at the end of the month, there's a goodbye party. So much talent leaving. We're losing a whole lot of resources.
My tummy was acting up on me yesterday. Had plans to do a lot ... get my Easter stuff up and all, make some turkey rollups, but wound up doing nothing but just napping and trying to get my tummy to quiet down. Sat on the toilet a lot too. Watched baseball, read, etc. The World Baseball Classic games were fun ... U.S. beat Canada ... it was a barn-burner. Fun game.
I hope to get what I wanted to get done yesterday done today. I like to have my Easter stuff up for a month at least ... time to enjoy it. Easter is the day after my birthday this year and on my grandnephew Sam's 5th birthday. I'm taking the week off of Easter just to veg around the house ... I'll go down by my family for Easter and then come home and watch baseball on TV for the week.
No other big plans for today. Already ran the dishwasher, two loads of laundry, one in the dryer is done. Former cat sitter and Diva and Nettie's former mom came over to pick up a couple of donations of cat stuff that my cats don't use (a tunnel that Diva likes to sleep in and a little cat house) ... she says Diva is still pooping outside the box at the cat rescue shelter. Nettie really misses Diva but I can't have her back here. I miss Diva too. I'm glad she has a place to go and still live out her life, though.
Well, the dryer buzzed so I should get to work. Have a good day!

Hi Eileen, Most days I do not feel my age, but when I get out of bed in the morning that is another story. Everything aches until I get moving!
I notice that our paper is getting smaller too. With businesses suffering and cutting back on advertising it affects everything doesn't it? I notice that the mail service is talking about no Saturday deliveries. Wonder if the papers may do the same thing?
Sounds like you had a very productive day off. Have a good week.

Happy Birthday Karen,
60 isn't so bad. I hit that 6 years ago but I look and feel alot better now at 66 than at 60. Kept thinking I could lose the weight on my own but to no avail. I'm glad you had a wonderful day. The streets and parking lots are so treacherous here after the thaw and then another freeze. Smooth ice is one thing but when it is rutty and uneven, it is pretty hard to navigate. I am deathly afraid of falling and breaking a leg, ankle, hip or all the above. July of 2004 I fell and shattered my right knee, had it put back together surgically with pins, plates and bolts and was immobile for almost 3 months and I do not want to relive that experience ever again. Spring just has to come soon!!!
We went to church this morning and stopped at a diner for a bite afterwards. Hubby loves to have his breakfast but I opted for beef vegetable soup and it was very nummy. We have Haylee our grandaughter this afternoon while her parents are at some sort of function. She and I are going to take in a matinee downtown and see Mall Cop. We both should enjoy that. Hope everyone's Sunday is going good.

Sandy, Yes, I know I should appreciate each day and year and I plan to. My life is so much fuller than it was when I weighed 377 lbs. We're starting to get a bit of a glimmer of spring. And having longer afternoons helps me considerably. Getting flower beds ready to plant here in our new home. I miss my tulips from our old house. Will plant bulbs for sure this fall!
