George, you must really be good at scheduling sleep whenever you can find a few hours. I get up early by 5am most days and by 8pm at the latest I'm out unless I'm on my fee!

Marilyn, Hope you had a nice day. I guess you all don't need the Daylight Savings TIme like we do. I love it when I get an hour more of daylight in the afternoon. I hate short, dark days. Daylight Savings Time means spring can't be far behind around here!

That is just it! AZ stays on daylight savings time all the time. We never change So When
you guys fall back we stay the same. When you come back forward we still say the same so we are back even.  Trust me that if you lived out here in the 120+ degree summer dry heat you would not want that extra hour of sun.   This is the perfect time of year. Cool mornings & about 67-75 in the afternoons. Late April & May starts getting much warmer. In Bullhead City where i Live we are only 500 ft above sea level
that is why we get so hot here.

Marilyn,

People find it hard to believe that in my little SE corner of Washington state we are in the desert. I know, it's called the Evergreen State. . . Not my corner! We just get 6-8 inches of total precipitation per year. This winter was an exception. About every 5 years we get dumped on. July and August will be 100+ most days. It's also very dry here.  However, our HOT HOT is just usually those two months. Right now I can't wait to feel the warmth of the sun. It was 30 this am when I got up. But the sun is shining so it looks like the makings of a beautiful day. We are just about the same above sea level as you. The "west side" gets all the publicity here in Washington and it has a much wetter, greener climate than we do.

hearing thunder as i type- temps are in the upper 30's and we have had rain all nite-

nothing really going on today

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, Do you ever use genforum.com? I was having trouble posting on it and finally figured out that a person now has to register to use it. It's a free site, and I've gotten a lot of good info from it. Works fine now that I figured that out!

It is rainy, foggy, yucky and damp here. Better than snow.

The grocery store was out of my usual non-fat cottage cheese. The stuff I bought tasted UGH and too rich. Tom won't eat it, the cats won't eat it, so the trash can have the rest. Never thought I would say a food was too rich to eat.

My daughters mother-in-law is leaving her husband and moving to Ithaca. She asked to stay with us until she finds a place. Silly me, I agreed. This might be very nice or a total disaster. She has the notion that she can drop in to visit our grands any time the urge strikes. Boy oh Boy is she in for a shock. MY son-in-law, her son, works long hours in the ER and my daughter will not share his spare time. There is a war brewing and I don't think it will end in a truce between the two women.

Kisses

Annette,

I kinda go through that with my DIL.  My son doesn't call or come over unless I do the iniating.  Sometimes it would be nice if he'd just call to check up.  When I call their house, she may or may not answer and it's a cinch she won't call bac****IL... and I can mark it on the calendar that she wants me to babysit.  I've pretty much made it to MY time available (which is most but darned if I'd let her know it).

I'm such a loner at my house, I don't think I could share it for more than a few hours with anything or anybody. Guess that's why there is no 'feller' or pets in my life.  All you can hear at my house in any given time is my nails tapping on the keyboard.  I don't even turn on the tv or radio.

Good luck on your new 'roomie'.  A better lady than I am.... I'd never make it....

Janet,

That is a shame about your DIL. She sounds as *****y as both of my daughters.

Not only do I get the MIL, but her cat too. It will work out one way or another. We get along fine, it is her son and my daughter who don't allow her around. Too rude!!
