Good morning.....errrrrrrrr........make that afternoon, George and my OFF family. The morning certainly has flown by today.

Today is a stay at home day and get caught up with the things that I have let go during this busy week. I figure if I can get most of it done after Bill goes to work it will be that much less to do while he is home this week end.

I am fixing Bill's dinner right now. I am working on getting him to eat his big meal of the day before he goes to work and that way he just snacks a bit when he gets home which is after midnight. I don't want him to eat that much so soon before going to bed. He is one that doesn't like to eat 3 meals a day and so it kind of gets hard at times.

Bill is sitting and playing with Misty. They do that a lot. She was not a man's cat when we got her. She was afraid of them but now..........she can be stuck like glue to her daddy that's for sure. She loves it when he takes her tail and holds it. She goes to walk away and pulls on her tail. She can do for a long time and never tire of it. They do have their own ways of playing. Now, for me, she comes for quiet loving and petting. So she gets her wild side satisfied from dad and comes to mom for gentle loving. I can tell she is getting older now. She use to jump in the air all the time and do flips and now she just has no interest in that. She just wants to play every once in a while........like when she is in the mood to do it. She will be 7 years old in a few months and she is so different. I just never thought that she would get older. It is hard to believe that we have had her for 5 years already. Go****ime goes so fast.

I guess I had better get to moving. Lunch is calling my name and telling me to finish fixing it for my little lovey hubby. I hope that everyone has a super day and remembers to smile while they are out and about. I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers and special thougths.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Oh yes Oh yes I have noticed it is Friday , Long time coming, I have been so sick this week, today is day 4 and I am finally going to the doctor this afternoon. Actually could be pnemonia I just can't get enough air to even complete a sentence. Head is full, voice sounds like an old bear, I am coughing, just blaaaaa. I have not had a cold in over 15 years so maybe I just have a run of the mill cold, but anyway I will be glad to sleep in tomorrow, I was scheduled to go to DesMoines tomorrow and work on the Iowa PBS telethon, It is SO much fun to do and I am dissapointed to miss it, but no one would want to pledge if they heard this voice on the phone, let alone all the coughing. So I think I will just stay in bed and read and nap tomorrow. Its my son in laws birthday but I dont think we have anything planned. gotta go. nurse is calling me

Hello, George and Family!

George...I know how releived you must be that your puppies are safely back home.  I once had a husky and he was a wanderer... now my doggies are protected with Invisible Fence.  It doesnt come cheap but it sure gives peace of mind!

Susan...I am sending you a bundle of birthday wishes...may you get everything wonderful that life has to offer!

This morning, JB and I went intop the "big city" so that I could attend my appointment to get my Ontario Health card renewed...and that involves a new photo...ick...I do hate getting my picture taken..even now.  Of course, the building is right on the main street..try to find a parking place..wow! So I ended up going in alone..walked into a room PACKED with 43 people all waiting for a turn.  But I had an appointment and was taken barely three minutes after I arrived!  woohoo!   Back outside, I stood at the curb, buffeted by strong winds, looking for JB...finally he found me...lol..and off we went.  We stopped at MedSupport so that I could pick up my new  custom support stockings for my lymphodema.  My insurance covers six pair a year ( at this point..who knows what is going to happen)...thank goodness too, because each pair is custom made in Germany and costs over $350.00 pr!!

Then JB took me to one of our favourite seafood places for lunch and i had three bites of coleslaw..not the creamy kind... and a piece of fish grilled.  We got home and, of course, over 17 furry bodies greeted us ...lol...JB fed them while I got inside, greeted by Katie and LilyRose  who ALSO wanted food and fun.  After that I had a short nap...love those when it's cold and windy, I can snuggle down for an hour.

Well, Im looking at grilled chicken for dinner..just JB and I tonight...Derek is out with friends.

So Ive devised a little "menu" for JB and he can "order"  what he wants...example:

SOUP DU JOUR (HOMEMADE BEEF & BARLEY) OR CREAM OF TOMATO

GRILLED HAM & CHEESE ON MULTIGRAIN TOAST (comes with soup or salad)

GRILLED CHICKEN W/ A CHOICE OF RICE OR POTATO (MASHED OR BAKED)

HAM, CHEESE & BACON  OMELETTE W/ MULTIGRAIN TOAST OR TOASTED BAGEL

DINNER SALAD W/ CHICKEN, ALMONDS, SUNFLOWER SEEDS, WALNUT PIECES, RAISINS, MANDARIN ORANGE SEGMENTS AND  LIGHT POPPYSEED DRESSING

PRICES TO BE DETERMINED LATER......PLEASE CHECK OFF YOUR CHOICE.

DESSERT EXTRA

I hope he doesn't want to pay with VISA!
