How are we doing today?
Aloha Eileen.....survivor extraordinaire!!
Your story is WONDERFUL!! You are five years out and give us all hope that we CAN maintain our weight loss indefinitely. You have been through a lot physically, but still you maintain your weight and you really WORK on fixing things that need fixing. Just think....YOU ARE HALF OF WHAT YOU USED TO BE!! To me, that is beyond awesome.....and what I like to tell newbies at support group meetings......you CAN be half of what you are right now!! Most just shake their head and can't imagine such a thing. But people like you and me are living proof that it can be done. And in my case, it was done by a chronic WL diet failure!
I LOVE your wow moments, too!! Your adventure at the pyramids is truly wonderful. We have all passed up so much of life at our heaviest weight. We have been given a 2nd chance at living life fully, and I am so deeply thankful for that. And, I'm so glad that you shared your story. I KNOW it will touch many as it has me.

Aloha my FFF (Friend from Florida!)
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story. Wow.....119 lbs. and you aren't yet at a year out. That is so fabulous, and inspirational. I'm sorry you have had some problems, but it seems like in spite of them, you are happy with the overall experience.
I will go read your profile to see what the 4 surgeries were all about. I have a friend here on Maui who also had some serious complications and several surgeries, but now she, too, is overjoyed with the final results. She has even had a baby since WLS!!
I so understand about the flabby thighs (me too), and wanting the "girls" put back where they belong...instead of at my waistline! Ha! Maybe someday if I win the lottery (which I don't play because there isn't one in Hawaii!) I will have them done. Luckily I have a family member who is a plastic surgeon specializing in only faces, and he hopefully will do some work on my face in the future sometime.
Enjoy your new body, and keep coming back to the OFF and sharing your victories with us. I LOVED reading about you.
