Linda,

I'm leaving for an Episcopal Church conference in Memphis this afternoon and won't be bac****il Saturday afternoon.  I'm traveling with church acquaintances who don't know I've had WLS. I prefer that they remain ignorant about that, but that may become a challenge when I'm spending 3 days with them.  3 meals a day will be provided at the conference and goodness only knows if I'll be able to eat any of it.  A favorite west Tennessee breakfast is biscuits with sausage gravy, which would be a really, really bad choice for me.  But I'm bringing stuff like protein powder and Crystal Light packets.

B: chocolate peanut butter banana protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: salmon, carrots with ginger butter
S: ? on the road
D: ?
S: ?

I hope you have a great time in Memphis - I would say go by my parents and say hi but know you will have so much to do at the conference !  LOL

My father would say that the biscuits and gravy is just part of the Big Boy Country breakfast !  along with eggs, or some country ham and red eye gravy....  I don't see that in my future ever again... but no regrets.

You can fool lots of people by keeping up the conversation at meals and moving the food around on your plate if it's something you can't eat.  The bisquits and gravy will be a challange but surely they will have veggies at the other meals that you'll be able to eat. Good luck with it.

Good morning friends.  Weather here is warming up, but it is so muddy!  I am so grateful for an attached garage.  The house we have now is the first one I have ever lived in that has a garage attached ......... sometimes it is the littlest things that make me happy!

Hope everyone has a little something to make them happy today!!!

Annette, thanks for sharing that bit of wisdom!!! LOL  There have been days when I've had as many as 3 protein shakes, and really never had that problem.

Good morning Linda and Friends.

A bit hectic here at work this morning.
B - protein shake
S - protein shake
L - chicken/sausage gumbo and asparagus
S - yogurt with granola
D - chicken, grilled eggplant slices with Parmesan cheese, and salad
S - cottage cheese with fruit or cheese and a couple of wheat crackers.  As long as I count out my allotted crackers and put the box back in the pantry, I'm OK, otherwise, I continue to munch on them.

Good morning Linda...hope you are doing well today.

I am still at my daughter's in St. Paul. I did manage to get Kyleigh up and off to school this morning. We had a long talk yesterday. She made some promises to me that I hope she will keep.

I made enchiladas for the kids dinner last night. They loved them. They ate the leftovers for breakfast this morning...LOL!!  Carrie and I had veggies and talapia. It was hard to get down and I ended up getting sick. Just no appetite. Too much stress. Maybe today will be a better day.

I am going to make a meal in the crockpot for them to have for dinner tonight. Then I will be heading back home.

I will do my best to get my protein in today if it is only shakes.

Love and hugs my dear friend.....Boo...to you!!
