What's New, Thursday!

Hello, family!

I've been having a very interesting week...full of challenges and successes.  I attended a Champagne reception this week and turned down all the rum-flavoured chocolate truffles (there were millions of those tempting lil devils, I swear!) Not an easy feat considering that each one of them called me by name.

I've been contracted to create a series of very special greeting cards for a company...I can hardly wait to get started! But I cannot reveal what they are about until they are launched on May 17th.  Then I can tell you all about them!

I've been taking training (twice a week) for the last year as a Metaphysical-Connecting  Counsellor dealing with the SuperConscious and that's been exciting as well.  I have now graduated and have my certificate..woohoo!

Thursday is a busy day too...first to meet with a potential client, then to my post-graduate training session, then do Mother's grocery shopping and then to have dinner with her and take her some reading material and five containers of my homemade beef & barley soup.  She loves it just before bed and says she sleeps much better after *s*.  Mom is in her 90th year.

My DayBook is quickly filling  this week and next, with clients and sessions, and I have to continue to bind  even more Mandala Colouring Books and fill more orders.

I've already sent out several dozen colouring books last week in the mail.  All orders from the U.S. have been mailed so they are on their way to you.

LilyRose continues to grow..she is now over seven pounds. For a little kitten that had a broken back and used to be so crippled that she flopped about like a turtle, she continues to astound us with her dexterity and energy.  She has JB wrapped around her furry lil paw!

I'm off to bed now, so enjoy your Thursday and I will be back! *s*

Good morning Nancy and all you OFFers.

Busy weekend about to start.  Taking off part time  job to see granddaughter in a show at church tonight.  Tomorrow night is a Pancake Supper with a gospel quartet putting on a mini-concert.  These guys are great.  True North is their name.

Good Morning Nancy, George & OFFr's,

Nancy, it is so good to hear that all is going well with your business ventures and that your kitty is doing well too, we can learn so much from how well animals adapt to living situations that us humans would just bemoan, a little love goes a long way with the animal kingdom of which be are a part of, amazing how the higher intelligence does not adapt without kicking and screaming!

I have been up since 2:48 a.m. when Dillinger woke me up panting, so I got up, opened a window in case he was too hot, but I think these are just episodes of who knows what is going on in his body, however, I was able to soothe him and eventually he went back to sleep while I on the other hand am now wide awake, having a cup of coffee since I've given up on getting back to sleep. . .  I took him to get his staples out yesterday and the vet said he has recovered amazingly and to just keep him comfortable, which has become my fulltime job.  It's funny how he totally trusts me to do whatever needs doing, things that sometimes made him snarly, now he just lets me do and wants me to love him up, he has gotten even more spoiled, as my g/f whose dog has the same cancer as him, sent a bag of the pupporonni treats, stuff I formerly would not allow him, well now he doesn't want his other treats, just the pups. . .  too funny.  We don't train them, they train us.

Today Tony is taking the day off to come down and try to cheer me up, as yesterday a.m. I had a mini meltdown due to the loss of my job.  I feel a little better now, knowing that with the stimulus in play I may be able to get through this jobless state without necessarily losing my home.  Only time will tell and as I may have said here, I think in this market, it's a question of who you know, as opposed to what you know solely determining the ability to get employed.  I am open to new fields of opportunity, so long as the salary can cover my mortgage and living expenses, hell, I've never had an extravagant lifestyle anyway, but at my age, I don't want to struggle anymore financially, as I did plenty of that raising my children and thought those days were behind me.  On the positive, being healthier certainly will give me an advantage in that I have lots of energy and the struggles today will be met differently than in the past.  So one day at a time, I will look towards the future and believe that sooner or later all will be well, that's today's take on things. . .

I have to shop for something to wear should the opportunity to interview present itself, as we dressed very casual in my old firm and besides, I was not this size last spring, so I have nothing, I will try some Thrift stores over the next few days to find suitable items of clothing for the interviewing process.

Well folks, I will check in later to see what you all have been up to, hope you have a wonderful day, I think the temps are going up today, yippee!!!  That's another positive, at least if I am going to be unemployed, possibly for an extended period, the nicer weather will soon be here. . .

Prayers, Hugs and Positive Thoughts, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Hi Laureen,

Have you ever shopped on e-bay?  I've been getting NEW clothes with the tags still attached for under $10!!!  Bought an Ann Taylor knit top for 7.99 plus $5 shipping just yesterday.  You can find some amazing things there and usually they are in much better condition than the thrift stores. Some even offer free shipping.

Check it out and let me know what you find

Hugs to you and your furry friend

Susan

Our dear and sweet Laureen, I am so sorry to hear of what is going on with you and your job. I am keeping you in prayers and I know that something is going to happen for you.

I am of the belief that
nothing happens in God's world by mistake so I know that there is a reason for this happening. I personally think that He wants you to spend your time with Dillinger in his final days with you. You need him as much as he needs you right now. Cling to God and to Dillinger and just do the foot work and things will be alright.

There will be times that will be frightening but you know that they will work out because you have the faith in your Higher Power and that is all you need for your life. With that you can and will do anything.

Just keep your head up and eyes in the right direction and things will be fine. You might not like the direction that life takes you right now but know that it is the direction that you are suppose to going in at this time.

I send you big loving hugs and know that you are in my prayers for all the upset going on in your life.

that tells what kind of life you have lived.

a cob duster--
it's a knitted cover that slides on the handle end of your broom- it has a cute huge pom pom on the end that dusts-

it was fun-kept me busy......

Margo........what ever is a corn duster? I am picturing in my mind something that looks very strange. It is a corn on the cob that is all dried up with feathers sticking out of it and a big stick stuck in it. Like I told you, it was strange and believe me it is!!!!!!!! Just wondering what it is..........maybe my head picture will go away! I sure hope so.
