Has anyone esle had a serious bowel impaction?? Really hard wide stools that make you think you are delivering big foot through your butt?

With or without WLS, this is a serious problem. Get in touch with your doctor ASAP or sooner. Please, don't hesitate.

This happened to Mom - she had feces come out of her mouth. It was a terrifying experience.

Thanks sis,it has passed,took hours though. I think it is one of my meds,but wanted to know if I am the only one.
I am going to try everything to make sure it does not happen again.
I think my early work as a nurse's aide in a old folks home helped me through this...but whoa!!!
Maybe I am using the wrong term..

More times than I want to count since WLS. I now eat the regular Fiber One every day and have upped the fat content in my food alittle. It has made a big difference. I don't think I have EVER experienced anything so painful. I am glad you were finally able to get over this hump so to speak! Jana

Thanks Jana,I am going to add fiber,and up the fat a little. My NUT says I need fat 35gms per day,maybe I am not getting it. Time to do a spot check.
It is scary,even thinking about it laying in there..but nuff said...grin.
Hey,we share everything here,where else can I turn??
It took hours yesterday,then more,but to a lesser degree today,but way too uncomfortable for work! Like sittng on a tree trunk.

Yes Linda- I hate to be graphic but a few times I've had to dig it out. It's quite uncomfortable. I have never been as constipated as I have since WLS. Thank goodness it is a rare occurance. :) Sorry you had to suffer through it too.
