What's New for Sunday?

Hi Millie and my OFF family:

I'm on the phone with my friend Roxane ... had to wish her a happy birthday a day late. It was yesterday, but I knew she was skiing with her family (she had her family late ... she turned 53 yesterday and her kids are 7 and 11).

Not much going on here. I made a big pot of spaghetti sauce and it was in the slow cooker yesterday and continues today. However, one of my outlets blew for some reason after making my protein shake this morning, so I had to run an extension cord. I can't figure out what happened. That leaves me with one less outlet in the kitchen, and I don't have that many to begin with.

Other than that, it's baseball, reading, laundry, etc. I'm not much into sewing. I took a class in high school and did OK, but probably have forgotten much of what I learned since then. No place to do it anymore.

Have a good day.

Today was a busy day grocery shopping before the big snow storm.  I went to 3 different stores to make sure we would have everything before the storm.  They are predicting 8-14 inches which would be the biggest storm of the winter.  I went to Stop and Shop, Meat Farms and a little place called the Diet Shop.  There were big lines all over beause everyoe had the same idea I did.  I also bought things like turkey breast and roast beef to make sandwiches in case we lose power...  It's a bit after 9pm and the snow has already started here. Yuck!

I'll bring up the rear!

There was a time I made all my own clothes!  That was when the kids were little.  Foolishly, I thought when they were grown and out of the house I'd have more time - wrong.

Busy most of the day keeping my patient in line.  George is so bored not being able to do much of anything.  We went to church.  After lunch he was so fidgety, he suggested we go to WalMart to walk around.  That little excursion cost us $100.00.  We picked up a few groceries that we really didn't need, but are much cheaper at WM, I found 3 country CDs, he got some fishing stuff, found Sponge Bob t-shirts for each of the grandsons and a game for them to play when they visit.  We covered the tomato plants just in case we get a frost tonight.  What's up with that? Like Maui Karen, I hate to complain about the weather.  After all, some of you are getting snow, AL had tornadoes.  But gee, yesterday morning it was 70 degrees, this morning it was 37!

Think I'll go make a cup of tea to warm up!
Debbie
