Karen,

You are a SUPER Tutu! Three little ones can be a handful, even with help.

Tired, a cold, but I am positive your heart is overflowing with love.

Put up your feet and enjoy being home. I missed you.

Kisses

Aloha my sister who KNOWS about grands!! And kitties!!

My heart is FULL of little people love and awe that life has given me so much. Those small little people gave me the opportunity to see what I can now do that I could NOT have done at 319 lbs.........up, down on floor dozens of times a day. Climbing up bunkbed ladder! Laying on my belly on the floor to see eyeball to eyeball with my 8 month old cutie pie and make him laugh. Tutu swimming like a turtle on the floor must have been quite a sight!! Glad only children were there! LOL

As you well know...there is nothing like having a pile 'o babies on your lap and reading them a story before bedtime to fill a heart! Then the sloppy kisses and moist hugs and "I love you, tutu" is enough to make the hardest heart into mush!

My two little furry friends are stuck to me like glue the past two days......and little Poki is especially needy. I think if she were my patient, I would diagnose her as PTSD ....temporary I hope! She has been "talking" nonstop since I got home (except for naps) so I know she is telling me every detail of her "ordeal" with strangers in HER house!

Thanks for your warm words of welcome.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Hi Karen, Welcome back.  I know what you mean about a handful!  They are always a joy even when they are a pain.  LOL  We kept our 4 for a few days when they were young.  Now they are 14,13,11,and 8.  Two girls, then two boys.  Whew. I love to see them come and I love to see them go!  I am sure you know what I mean.  Can't wait to see them again.

Take care of yourself and get rid of the cold.

Hugs,
Vera  LapBand 8/12/2008

Aloha Vera....and thank you for understanding! Wow...I can only imagine what you had on your hands when your grands were 5, 4, 2 and tiny baby!! Four hands would not be enough!! Now I try and imagine mine when they are 14, 12 and 10......and I can't get an image yet. They are so individual already as babies......and that can develop in so many ways.

I, too, totally understand eagerly waiting to see grands, and just as eagerly waiting to go home!! Love our kids for giving us this wonderful experience in our lives.

Thanks for sharing.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Welcome home, OFF's favorite Tutu! You were missed but we are so glad that you got to spend time with your babies.

They sound like a handful but such a wonderful handful! They are handfuls of nothing but love. What can be more special than a "vacation" with the grands? I love the stories and the flair for the writing them that you have. It makes me feel like I am right there with you. Your 3 babies had you a while and now it is the kitties time to have their mommy back. In so many ways they are much more needier of our time and attention than the grands are.

I am counting the weeks until I, too am a Tutu. Just under 3 months to go. It all depends when Baby Caleb wants to make his grand appearance. He is due April 20th but we all know they come when they are good and ready and don't give a hoot about the calendar.

Welcome home, tiny big sis, you were certainly missed. Get your much needed rest and take care of the cold.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Aloha sweet Brenda.......Grandchildren weren't even a part of my wishful thinking seven years ago when I moved to Maui. Neither of my sons was married, nor even seeing anyone seriously. Well.....#2 son surprised this mama by falling in love, getting married, and having three babies in four years! Talk about a life changing overnight!

It would be nice to be closer geographically, but on the other hand I think living on Maui will keep me healthy longer, and seeing them every six months will be very special.

I am so happy for your soon becoming a tutu!! I can't wait to hear about how you feel, what you think when you drink in that first baby perfume that is like nothing else. A tiny baby just out of a bath is a little bit of magic......so new, so perfect, so full of potential.....life and laughter. We will be enjoying every minute right along with you.

Thanks for your TLC......it always feels good.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Oh so glad you are home, sorry about your cold. Rest up and be good to you. Thought of you often, the Gkids are fun but so exhausting.

Girl you had your hands FULL!  When our two grands are here together, they keep us hopping.  They're 7 and 5 1/2, pretty self-sufficient.  I can't imagine taking care of three boys 4 and under by myself!  I always have reinforcements with grandpa.
