What's New - Tuesday
Congrats on keeping your wt off......I am so proud of you.
And we all know it's not easy either.....I've gained a few lbs and it's tough getting them back off....dang it!
I have some exciting news to share, I am going on a ten day trip to Germany in Sept. 2010. Went and applied for my passport today and sent in my deposit for the trip, so the ball is rolling. I am so excited about this trip, it is one of my life goals to go to Europe.
My PCP recently did an EDG on me and now I remember him saying my pouch was"wide open"....now I wonder exactly what he meant. Dr. Kemmeter read the report but didn't comment on that.
Good luck with your insurance.....it's a shame they are being so "picky".
Hugs,
Pat R.

Done! Your Ticker:
Pat, Would you have even considered this trip two years ago? I bet not! You'll have a blast. Making up for lost time is a lot of what's it's all about for me. No more sitting on the sidelines. In my belief system I just go around this earth one time; better make the most of it!
My husband says, "But you've seen it on tv. . . " Not good enough for me! I always have to try to curb my enthusiasm just a bit so that I don't "over anticipate". Sometimes reality can not match my imagination! I'm going to Italy in early April with a friend who has been before. We're doing a leisurely tour for two weeks. Three days at each stop; two formal sight seeing, the 3rd day on our own. Pat, you look wonderful. . .

I'm so sorry to hear your granddaughter is feeling so depressed. I have a 17 year old grandson that I love beyond words and he also went through a time of depression and suicidal thinking. Oh how it tears at your heart. If only they could see a little further into the future at that age. That and your grandson Nic must be almost too much to bear. My prayers are with you and your family.

I was told by my surgeon that your stomach does not stretch out. He said that you have to be careful and your exit out of the stomach, the one they create can stretch out if you eat too much. That is why they tell you to stop eating before you are full. Once it stretches, your food just kind of goes through quicker and you feel like you are eating too much because the food is passing straight through.
I have always wondered how they know it won't stretch or will stretch. I guess I just trusted what my Dr. told me.
