What Are We Eating & What's Eating Us - MONDAY!

Good Morning, Family!

Im late posting today because my server went down last night...oh the joys of country life!  Our LilyRose has an 8 am appointment with the Vet this morning in the big city and we will be leaving soon.  Katie has been complaoing because the usually ever-present kibble bowl is empty.  LilyRose isnt supposed to eat solids since 8 pm last night.  I will fill the bowl for Katie just as we leave.

While Im in the city, I want to stop at Office Depot and Staples and buy a 4-6 mg portable hard drive for my computer, preferably on sale.  The 1 mg stick that I have only holds two mandala books..graphics take so much space.  So I need more portable storage to transport my mandalas to the printer.

It's seventeen degrees BELOW, celcius, this morning..thats nasty cold.   The air is frosty and I watched the sun come up..not a common occurance here...me watching, not the sun coming up.  The kind of morning where your nostrils immediately slam shut when you step outside..not THAT'S cold!

When we get home, I must re-write a few pages of text for each book..Im always revising...and then transfer my books to the new hard drive.  Then they are ready for second printing.

Then at 7 pm, I attend my Mind for Success business group in the Falls.

These are my plans for Rufus:

B   Matrix hot choclate protein drink

S   cheese & multigrain crackers

L     homemade beef & barley soup

S    cheese & multigrain crackets

D    homemade chili

S   fruit

So that's my plan....what's yours??

I don't usually post on these.  But what the heck.  I can't say for today other than breakfast for sure.  I don't plan much in advance.  I keep a variety of frozen dinners and snacks at work.

B:  I ate a bowl of oatmeal, two slices of buttered toast, an apple and two cups of coffee

S:  I've had more coffee, two tootsie rolls and a tootsie pop.

S:  Porbably Nuts/trail mix, cheese slices

L:  Probably Chicken Marsala with veggies and noodles.

S:  Probably a Big bag of buttered microwave popcorn and later some nuts or trail mix

D:  Probably Homemade chicken salad on two slices of toast, fruit, fresh veggies with ranch dip

S:  Hard boiled egg.  Maybe some chips or pretzels.

There will be other snacks, but I don't know yet.

Good morning to you , Nancy and Rufus. Harpo send hugs to Rufus and Misty sends them to LilyRose for her surgery today. Good thoughts go her way.

Today is kind of up in the air. I am not sure if I am taking my sister shopping or not. If so I am sure that we will go to lunch. If not then I will be home for lunch. So that is the meal that is up in the air.

B: sf oatmeal and 1/4 cup sunflower kernels (man that is so good too)
S: fruit of some sort~either applesauce or orange
L: whole grain muffin with cheese or out one of the two
S: either fruit or nothing (nothing if I go out)
D: sloppy Joe meat and veggies
S: sf pudding

I am sending love and hugs to all and hopes that your day is good. I am sending prayers and good thoughts to all who want them. I will meet you back here in the morning same place but maybe not the same time.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I wish I could say what I'm going to eat.  I've been so frustrated by my blood sugar levels.  When I try to follow the WLS diet I end up dropping.  I eat way more than I should just so I don't  drop.

I have a referral to a diabetic specialist the first week of February.  We'll see what he has to say.  I'm suppose to take my sugar levels throughout the week as different times during the day.  Usually after meals...  well, I eat all the time.  Six small meals.... now this is going to be a challenge.  I figure I will document what I eat too.

Today's Menu......  no idea...  sigh

You have a reference to a gourmet peanut butter sandwich in your profile.  What is a gourmet pb?

Thanks,

Caroline

 Caroline,

My gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a tongue in cheek saying.      I have been asked to make one before though.      It would be deli white bread,  fresh ground peanuts and homemade or specialty jelly.   Served with fresh whole milk.   LOL   maybe even a homemade choco chip cookie.

Hi Nancy, Rufus and all,

It is late afternoon and I am so far behind in everything except complaining.    These headaches are miserable - sinuses acting up. The insulation people are here making noise and kicking up the dust. Achoo !

B - cottage cheese, berries, Kashi go lean
L - salad & deli ham
D - same as breakfast, I don't feel like cooking so Tom is on his own
S - ??? not too hungry, maybe an apple

Sorry for being so cranky today.

Kisses

Love, light and laughter, CV Linda
