Good morning to you, Margo and my other OFF family. It is hard to believe that it is Friday already but I don't work outside of the home so I guess my thoughts don't always count for much. ha ha  I know the other day........hmmmm must have been Wednesday Bill said that it felt like it should be Friday since the week was going so slow.

Bill was snoring so badly that I couldn't sleep at all. I laid there and listened to him for as long as I could and then just had to get up before I lost my mind. Jeez.......he always said that I snored.........I sure can tell he couldn't hear himself! ha ha

I have to go into Porter this morning and pick up a coat for my DGN, Brittany. I am getting it for her through FreeCycle. It is a winter coat made of suede and she said that it is like brand new. I might be a bit big for her but I thought that she might be able to wear it during the spring. The woman said that she didn't think it was good for weather below 25* so spring is about it around here. It is in a sage green with fur around the hood and the hem. I am sure that she will like it. Or at least I sure hope so.

Misty is sitting on the back of the sofa washing her little face. It is past time for her to get clipped. But right now the money just isn't there for that. I don't foresee it until sometime next month. Or maybe I should say that I am hoping that it is next month. It depends on how things are going. After all her hair do isn't a big priority around here. But she does so love getting her do done.

I took my neighbor Virginia to the doctor yesterday morning. She has bronchitis so she had to get a anti biotic and cough syrup from the pharmacy. I had to buy them for her since her pension doesn't go far for her. I told Bill that I couldn't let her go without her medicine. He mentioned about her family and then I reminded him that they only use her for what they can get out of her. I let her rest yesterday, but I told her that if she needed me to make sure to call. I didn't hear from her so I guess she was doing alright. I am going over to check on her later on in the morning.

I had a church meeting last night and It was after 9 before I got out of there. My heavens some people like to chat and chat and others like to keep stuff from coming to an end at times. I finally got home about 9:35 and was so glad to see home. I was so cold even though the temperature was 32*. My feet felt like they were frozen with 10 ice cubes hanging off them. I even had heavy socks on and so I would have hated to see what they felt like if I had normal socks on.

I guess I had better get to going. I want to do some things while I am still up by myself. It is easier sometimes to do things without help.

I am sending love and hugs to all along with prayers and good thougths too. Have a wonderful day and smile pretty.

Brenda,
You and Margo posted together - great mminds think alike.

Wednesday, right after I posted about the new furnace, I began to get cold. At first I thought it was just me ... nope, the darned thing had shut down.

I had to run to visit a new pre-op but came home to a message from the furnace people. The man said they wouldn't be returning for a few days due to another emergency. I was on the phone in a panic and said I HAVE A BIGGER PROBLEM.

It was noon before he got here but soon discovered what was wrong. Details escape me.

Then Tom noticed we had almost no water in our holding tank. Nothing was coming out of the well. I cried!

Last night I received an e-mail from my new supervisior - haven't even met her yet, in fact didn't know I had one. She proceded to give me hell for not working Tuesday and not notifying anybody. That was the final straw. I had to sit back and gain some control before responding to her.

Eventually I was able to reply in a professional manner and tell her the name of the person I had contacted. It took great will power not to tell her what she could do with this job!

Whew - a lot of complaining from me today.

Today is a new day and I plan to do something fun.

Kisses

Good morning Brenda, Margo, Laureen, Annette, and anyone else out there at this hour.  I have less than 30 minutes left and then I get to run to the bank and CVS before going home to get some sleep.

Good Morning...Brenda...Margo... and everyone!

I am having an off day today. Feeling kind of down and slow today. Still waiting on word from Nic's  test results. I am sure that has a lot to do with how I am feeling.

I only have to work a couple hours today. I already have most of my hours in already this week. Helps that I got 8 hours paid for Monday!

I need to get to the grocery store sometime this morning. I just am not in the mood. I used to loved to shop. Now it is such an effort.

Dwayne and I went out for BBQ ribs last night. We always just order one dinner. He eats the potato and cole slaw and we share the ribs. They were so tender they about fell of the
bones. I ate about 1 and 1/2 ribs and that was more then enough. Sure were delicious!!

Enough of this boring chit chat from me.....

Special prayers to those in need....you know who you are!!

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

hi connie! ya know-reading about someone who can only eat one and a half ribs -tender ones at that-makes me really wonder what is wrong with my pouch cuz i probly can eat much more...my doc told me he didn't make my pouch quite so small as many and i think he did me NO favor by that!!!

we have a new  EW guy at my job..his "connie" showed up yesterday for about 1 minute---.between that and his attitude about what he is doing....wow- it's interesting! that's all i'll say!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Brenda and Margo and my OFF family:

Gee, two threads ... a bonus! I was on the phone with Carla for awhile. She sounds pooped ... like I feel. I did so much running around yesterday I can barely sit here at the computer. My knee really hurts today (almost spelled knee "nee" ... God, I'm tired!) I slept OK last night, although I did get up once to take another vicodin, I was in so much pain. That's what I get for thinking I can run around after PT.

After PT, I drove into Grand Rapids, picked up my two cases of AchievOnes, then went to Meijer for groceries and other stuff (needed PUR filters for my water, a new humidifier filter, so the bill was a biggie), then came home to find two messages on the machine -- one from my cleaning lady who wanted to swap out her check and she was nearby. Well, at that point, the UPS guy was at the door with my new fireplace ... and cleaning lady came over and helped me get it out of the box, put the old one in the box and get it packaged to ship back. I can tell the difference already, it heats up faster, etc. Although they shipped the remote separately and I don't know when that's coming. Now I have to call them back and find out what to do with this old fireplace ... do I call UPS or do they call them?

Went out to dinner last night with Kim from work ... we had a nice time at Texas Roadhouse. I couldn't decide on ribs or steak, so I ordered a combo platter. Of course it was more than I could eat, so I have dinner for the next two days. I knew that, but that's OK. I was planning on leftovers. The steak was so good, as were the ribs (or the rib I had). I have half a steak left and four ribs, so like I said, it's two more meals, plus half a potato.

Brenda, you are so nice to help out your neighbor like that, buy her drugs. The karma always bounces back, and there's big karma coming your way someday.

I really need to get my leg back up ... it's really hurting me. Plus, I should do some PT today but it'll be later in the day. I needed to get out and get some calcium (I've been out for two days now), but I'm just too tired to go out today). Maybe tomorrow.

Have a good day.

Hey Eileen:
Maybe you are feeling so tired because you haven't had your calcium for a couple days -- ya think?

I am waiting for my electric bill and gas bill to see if buying the Heat Surge fireplace was a good idea or NOT!!!

Hope you feel better and not so tired really soon

Luv ya,
Pat

Hey out there

A slow day today probably because I am not thrilled with what I need to do.  Paper work.  Dh is out of town.  He waited all morning for word on a project so he couldn't leave early.  Finally heard and is on his way to EXXon's office, so I guess it will be late afternoon before he leaves.  That means he will be gone all weekend since he couldn't get started today.  Would have been home Sunday A.M., but now I guess it'll be at least  Monday.  If the weather remains nice I might venture out somewhere.  Maybe explore one of the small towns nearby that I haven't visited.  Hope my enthusiam picks up.  I would have gone with DH but one of the places he has to go has no local hotels and he stays on the company compound.  Not a place I could go.  Never know how many hands are there.  Oh well, Guess I'll have to go somewhere on my own.  Hope everyone has a good weekend.
